In this video I have a look at a car for the used car dealer that is fresh from the auction. It has a seat belt light on that won’t go out as well as the TPMS light that won’t go out. Let’s see if we can figure out what is wrong with this cream puff.
-Enjoy!

DIG a hole and bury it !!!
"In your box,,, Your battery box." Trying real hard not to grin there Mr. O. ….. giggidy
Q: What is Eric's role at SM Auto? A: Scan Tool
I see these quite a bit at the auctions, how are the CVT?
Mr O you absolutely make me laugh this is unbelievable some of these cars you get from the Used Car Guy obviously these are bashed , thrashed and crashed cars that he's trying to unload on the poor souls willing to buy them but I give you all the credit on trying to repair them as cheaply as possible one thing you do here Mr O you make us laugh especially when you're working on The Used Car Guys cars and that is the main emphasis of watching you you make us laugh and it lightens up our day keep up the good work there Mr O .
Oh man, as soon as you started working on the passenger side seat belt I had a feeling it was the passenger occupancy sensor. I worked at a Nissan dealership around that time and I’m fairly certain there’s a TSB regarding having to perform the calibration. I definitely remember performing a lot of those. Classic Nissan’s being Nissan. Great video!
I Just zip them seat bolts out. We're getting too old to be monkeying around upside down under a seat 😂 🙈🙉🙊
Woah, what is that Volvo there? You aren't showing it??
My friend bought one of these at auction for his mother. I couldn't get the serpentine belt tensioner bolt out because it was too long and hit the unibody frame. Research led me to a Nissan TSB that mentioned removing motor mounts and forcing the motor towards the driver's side with a "special tool". A hole saw fixed that and I was able to continue doing actual work like the timing chains.
Too much Technology in a car for a seatbelt.
Mrs O is beautiful but those glasses do not do her any favors
if you unbolt the seats in the juke and most other nissans on the passenger side you have to do the zero point learn as the load sensors are attached to the bolts in the seat frame. you can loose the tpms sensor id's if someone tries to program new ones as it blanks old then downloads new so if no new is loaded the old is also gone, as for why the light is not flashing no clue there that is very odd. as for the fan running all the time that is more worrying, a normal indication the the ECM is no good but since the car runs and it has been rebuilt by who knows what ham fisted gorilla i have seem the ac pressure switch wiring to be garbage and that makes the ac think it is in need of some serious cooling so that would be a good place to start on that one.
Wiring diagrams are usually shown in the power off not active state. So the seat belts would not be connected in this state. I am not a mechanic but in industry that is how it was.
Used cars are "special" !!! I've worked for a used car dealer for the last 18 years or so and I love it. Some cars that come from auction can be challenging. Fuse legs intentionally cut off, wires cut and well hidden, modules swapped ect. Not to mention the "body shop follies" But thank the Lord above I work for a good one that understands the difficulty of the job.
H E Y: ALL Y A ' A L L —
Like I want for humans — how about a chip who's sole purpose is record/document ALL anomolies/repairs?
Do you have 'variable' pricing such that those who flip cars get a discount? Or, maybe even, do you charge MORE?
This dealer had MORE in mind when choosing you first time for them but then denying future repairs. No need to discount your work for their profit as there's plenty of aution carnage for you if you choose to flip cars. AND I SEE ONE REPAIR SHOP NEAR ME WITH A JUNK YARD OF CARS EXTERIOR. Otherwise, cars that seemingly don't move means lots of unhappy customers.
Always a positive attitude and great personality! Great job Eric
As you stated car was painted in every corner, indicating that last repairs not complete.
Sometimes air bag / passenger present indicator light above or near rear view mirror or near radio.
Either way great job Mr O, Mrs O needs to make more frequent appearances, so cut it on!!!!
you said you have problems with the TPS well did you ever check if when they put New tires they did not eliminated the sensors lot of tires places do not put the sensors back and replace it with regulars tips instep of the ones with sensors it happen to me one time after a tire got damage the put a regular tip because they broke the sensor one when they change the tire not to many tires places know about sensor and they will not tell you they broke the ones on it or the tires and rim are not the ones of the car but a set they have in the shop that look like it
I feel like people would stop buying that CVT crap if they knew their 3k pound car was being driven along by a variable diameter pulley and a rubber band.
Would it have been easier to unbolt the seat so that you could tip it up for better access?
The members first viewing is very sad moment for SMA! A loyal subscriber for years and now have to pay to see the videos? You just lost 2 subscribers!
The "members first" is just plain wrong. Your channel is good to watch but not good enough to have to pay for. You are making a lot of money from YouTube now why do you want to wring more money out of people. If you want to drive people away well then just keep up the crap about members first.
Wow good morning sir I'm a subscriber and a car guy, I think you are without a doubt one of the best mechanic/technician I've ever seen. We need to find away to help you get 2million subscribers because you are the best mechanic blog on YouTube. Just a perfect family setting…keep up the good work, I'm a subscriber for life. I've learned so much.
Mrs O,classic. 😂
ALL Nissans have been ABSOLUTE GARBAGE since the 2003 model year. think "Murano" CVT . . this year beginning of the end . . . Nuff said ? . ? . . How about 2005 Frontier 4.0 v6 timing chain with "plastic guides" or Trans line routed thru radiator "SMOD"
Piece of garbage.
thats my i anit staying
I'd rather have the banter and the troubleshooting process than the Chris Broke video "quality" anyday. Besides, Chris Broke won't even show his face, so that should be a clue right there.
