Not many Mazdas on your Channel, that speaks well of the Brand ðŸ‘
what is that stuff you sprayed on the terminals? The 'make it shiney' stuff.
14:58 Thats quite a muff you have on your arm
in what cases would you replace the brake booster in addition, or in place of hte master cylander?
bad abs module
Great video. Thanks man.
They didn't even put vented rotors up front 😂
Bleeding them out solved the sinking pedal on my mazda5. The abs does suck on these cars. Is be much happier without it. I've got 3 mazda5 and the brakes stick on all of them.
What led me here was struggling bleeding my Mazda 3 brakes. It started with stripping the driver's rear bleeder screw and having to replace the calipers, then fighting with the horrible reservoir design that makes you think the fluid is topped off when it's not. Kind of a nightmare.
Ever Heard of Flare Nut Wrench????????????
I have the same car but the opposite problem. It gets stiff really quickly, and gets stiffer.
Jesus you’re annoying 😂
The odo-meter.
You don't have proper flare nut wrenches? Good job messing up the customer's brake line fittings with improper tools.
Missing some greasing on the brake procedure. Why change the front brakes only? Did he just skip all those on the video? Just an ok demo but not great!
My tip: unfold the brake calipers and push the pedal a few times before replacing master cylinder. after then you push the brake pistons back in. Now its backwards bleeded.
I didn't see you grease the slide pins
Did he put the purple stuff on?
Wow Ray that's bad when you can't put the rod in the whole. How old are you 😊
I think you got lucky… Why did you not mention the ABS module there actually more prone for fault and spongy breaks than the actual master cylinder. You didn't even check why? Like I said if the brakes are actually better I really don't know but if they are It's pure luck
I don't mean to be a smarty pants but cursive writing is cursive writing. Calligraphy is artistic writing with a calligraphy pen.
Great work very informative
The cap is a blank off for the clutch master cyl. I replaced a clutch MS this week, one of the worst jobs Ive ever done.. Nightmare to get to..
A man who enjoys his job, well done.
Thanks for the video. I so appreciate your help.
But what was wrong with the brake?
I have a Mazda 3 but feel like the pedal is goes too far down. Not alway to the floor but is not to the floor. But it’s supposed be like that? Hope you can answer me back. Thanks for your help.
I did all the mechanical work for my son's car when he lived at home. (He doesn't like working on cars like I do). Anyway, when he moved away, after a couple years, he wore his brake pads out AND then the brake master cylinder started going out too. < But he didn't know why his brakes weren't working very well. I found that out after I drove many miles to him, and got into his car to check them out. – They were so bad, I had to use the parking brake, in conjunction w/ the regular brakes, to stop safely behind traffic. It's those times that you are glad the parking brake works (slowing that 1-2 wheels in the rear).
You have the ac on with the dial on hotter side
I have the exact same car. Did the same thing. Pushed the "DSC" (dynamic stability control) button to "off," and it brakes normal now. I've seen dozens of videos on this subject. It seems like it can be a nightmare.
So glad you don't work there anymore, that freggin phone is annoying. When no one answers it makes me want to drive to Florida and throat punch whoever is in charge of the phone. 🙂
Those ABS modules at 13:23 like to fail on this series of BL models, and the transmission control module (TCM) which is below the battery box, on the transmission case. Both parts are not cheap to replace, (esp the ABS module) . Relocation of the TCM before it fails is highly recommended.
