  1. 20:50 The nator test needs to be conducted with the RPM at 1500-2000. In addition you're overloading the nator at 300amps. That nator's full output is only 90amps. 300amps at 10.5volts, I'll say that's a healthy nator.

  2. So if I got this correct you're saying I can hook up my hose to my battery if the battery is low to help increase the current of said battery to start my car????? So, where do I attach the hose? To the positive side? hahahahahahahahaha

  3. 25:25 i have a jeep just like that one, it has a huge parasititc draw…..something on the ASD circuit is pulling 3.48amps with the key and everything is off, and i CAN'T figure out what is pulling that much from the battery! When i go anywhere i gotta pull my battery cable off so i don't come back to a dead battery, its not the alternator, the nator is working great

  4. I miss my old 2002 F250 with that 7.3L. Sadly a life in Michigan, then Ohio, made it not worth saving when we moved to Florida.

When we moved, I had a friend bring it and my 1993 MR2 down for me.

First drive after it arrived, the passenger side, front, caliper froze. We live in BFE and I was close to town and took it to a shop much closer.

All new brake calipers, pads, rotors, fresh brake fluid flush. NICE!!! Drive it the day after I get it back for an errand. Brakes felt off. Near town again doing a lumber run and we walk out to check it, big puddle by the rear diff, I just asked the tech to confirm it was a rusted brake line that broke as my guess when I saw that. I was right.

Get it back with all new rear lines, pads, calipers, rotors and all is good in the world again. Finish the delayed lumber run and head home! Park it in the back yard and go grab a beer to start working. Look out at my loved rust piece, the rear of the tank is about 2in above the ground. Tank strap. But those are cheap and you only need to pup the 6 bed bolts and disconnect the tail lights.

Start to work on it when the straps came in. Hit the bed bolts with an impact and find out that the only thing holding the bed up, or in place, was the spray in bedliner.

  5. Betweeen this channel and Matt at Diesel Creek, after watching you guys I feel like I could diagnose and get just about anything running. Lol I can’t but I feel like I can. 😂

  6. I believe that this crimping tool is not for wires, or / and you cable terminals are too big for this wires. I wouldn't do it that way. I would wirebrush this wires, if I want it to stay, spray Deoxide on them, than press new cable terminals.

  7. That small red wire for the starter button should have an inline fuse close to the battery terminal. when that wire shorts out on something, they are going to wish they had one.

  8. It’s funny how people are with their cars. I gotta make sure I have a aftermarket radio and steering wheel cover but a properly working drive side window naaaaaaaa use some tape lol

  9. Neutralize the acid and knock back the corrosion with baking soda water. It helps, and it is cheap. Also it isn't a totally stupid hack idea that creates a sugary mess like the idiots pouring Coke on their batteries and cables, I cringe whenever I see someone doing that or suggesting it.

  10. Here in the UK the health and safety people state the bench grinder must be totally enclosed at all times with guards fitted ? Go figure the level of crazy we have here

  11. Superglue and bicarb of soda will build up that plastic enough to activate the switch…it sets like concrete and can be sanded…just in case you wanted to fix that too 🤣

  12. 40 years ago I found a power drain on a Honda. The fusebox in the dash had a light in it's door! It would get pushed in by a knee or whatever and be on. I removed the bulb, problem solved.

  13. I don’t mean to upset you, but that explanation of how a battery works and ages was mostly incorrect. First of all, AGM, gel, and flooded batteries are all types of lead-acid batteries. The electrolyte doesn’t “boil off”; instead, the water breaks down into hydrogen and oxygen during charging.

Sulfation happens when lead-sulfate crystals form on the surface of the plates. These crystals don’t conduct electricity well, and they also consume the free lead oxide and the sulfur from the sulfuric acid—both of which are necessary for the battery to function properly. Too much attention is paid to that problem. Batteries are not usually replaced due to sulfation.

It is true that the plates should never be exposed above the electrolyte level. A lead-acid battery will begin to sulfate any time it isn’t fully charged, and the process speeds up the warmer the battery is and the lower its state of charge drops.

A deep discharge will permanently damage the plates of a starter battery. They start to break down to the point that electricity can no longer flow to the terminals. This is essentially what happens when a battery reaches the end of its service life.

  14. Current would be the flow of water in the hose. Pressure difference causes this flow, so yes, pressure difference is like voltage. The resistance to water flow is more complicated than electricity. The is because water can be in laminar flow, turbulent flow or a transitory flow between the two. In all three the resistance is a function of the flow rate and diameter of the pipe along with some shape functions and roughness functions. But each is a different formula. Electricity is much simpler in this regard using ohms law. V=IR. In water, the resistance is a function of the flow rate making the analogy break down when comparing water to electricity.

  15. All the battery types you mentioned are lead acid chemistry batteries. AGM and gel cell use lead plates and sulfuric acid just like EFBs. The difference is that the electrolyte is in a high viscosity suspension or fiberglass mat.
