Just had a complete fuel system replacement in my 2012. Spent $12k. Contamination kit came with the DCR pump. No more CP4 for me.
When priming the fuel system you have to wait at least 30 seconds after cycling the key on.
I’ve got a 2022 6.7 power stroke . Owner put DEF in fuel system. His low pressure pump is fine it reads 57 psi but high pressure rails read under 5000 when idling . I was thinking pressure regulator until he told me he put DEF . Am I right to get the contamination kit
Ford doesn’t cover stupidity…fuel lid even stats diesel only…wow if I was the owner of that truck I would be furious…I had my fuel system replaced and it cost me around 13k on a f250
That bottom filter looked like it had a lot of water in it.
You are not fooling anyone. This is certainly not emission friendly!! Trucks with the dpf and etc certainly do not have this exhaust note. I am not complaining but come on, be real.
You're not letting it prime long enough between key cycles. You got air in the system iswhy that lift pump was sounding like that
Customer" um ya let's see if the warranty has a STUPIDITY CLAUSE in it.. " Oh darn it, let's see fuel cap is green which means diesel fuel oh and it's clearly labeled Diesel fuel only.

Could be the operator, could be the transporter, could be someone at the terminal. Job One would be to go to the retailer where he filled the tank and get a sample and do the burn test for gasoline. In CA, the Business & Professions Code mandates that the retailer is liable for ALL damages due to mislabled or contaminated fuel. In FL…who knows? I do know one thing…Ford's not going to pay a penny on this rebuild. I also know enough to sniff the nozzle before I put it in my tanks.
I drive a diesel powered F350 superduty.Whenever I stop to refuel I always make sure that diesel fuel is coming from the diesel pump by useing my sense of smell.

you are definitely not priming the system correctly at all. You can cause a good cp4 pump to shatter but running it dry like that. Five 30 second intervals is how to prime after changing fuel filters and it will start right up.

There is definately glitter metal flake in that CP4 pump and fuel rail nowðŸ˜
