Almost had a fastener disastener at around 9:15 there, Ray. Lol. Thanks for the diagnostic info and steps. Electrical always bugs me more than mechanical.
God I miss my Chevy 4.3L V6. I don't really miss the rest of that '01 Blazer… but that power train was frigging dope.
That's what she said😂😂😂😂
Good radiator replacement job on these old V6 Vortex Engines @Rainman Ray's Repairs
Lmfao Omg I'm Missing the rim the wife hates that omg bro that was good when opening the radiator Petcock @Rainman Ray's Repairs
"…shortcuts that take twice as long…"
No disrespect intended but I don't agree with your hose clamp assessment. I've always tossed the "springy" clamps and installed the screw type. Never had a problem.
Great job as usual Ray thank you
I have been known to “double clamp†connections after having blow off event, I use 16 gu stainless steel tie wire and end nippers and place it right next to the existing clamp as a sort of safety
An old Ferrari mechanic I worked with years ago would put form a gasket on the hoses to help them seal, would also assist shoving them on. They were a pain in the ass to remove later though.
See, I always thought the worm gear type claim was better and car makers just used that type of clamp to make assembly faster.
So I learned something today.
No thermostat replacement?
I drive an 03 blazer zr2. I love mine. Very easy to work on, and parts are plentiful.
Don't go there lol yuuuuup
Great !
Note to self: Always check backside of condenser for seeds/bugs packing the airflow.
It's a bit late but I'm guessing you put the bottom rubbers on off camera?
Ray, you were talking about your lights not having magnets. Here's a tip, inside a microwave oven you will find two, 2 – 3 inch doughnut magnets. Remove them and glue them to your whatever.
A 2002 S10 Crew Cab broke my Chevy addiction. Bought from original owner, 40k miles, anally maintained per owner's manual with receipts. Hit 102k and everything broke. Was like owning an Audi, except parts were cheaper.
do you like the soft rubber tool trays?
I just bought a blazer just like that. The only issue i have with it now is the spider injection system. Or in my case i call them the god d**** clip cause i almost always lose them
"Missing the rim, Wife hate's that" LOL!! Good Vid Ray.
Loved the video on the S10. Recently bought the same vehicle, but in a GMC Sonoma and love working on it. Gives a 75 year old something to do as I don’t have any motorcycle restoration projects on my work bench🇨🇦ðŸ˜
Did you replace the radiator cap? Looked bad but might be OK…🖒ðŸ¤
Shout out to your coworkers for supplying the background music.
Hi Ray easy is gonna be mechanic with brand new parts.
Can you try fix so.thing with out new parts.
Regards
Darko
you re the funny man. i love your video.thank you so much for your video
cascading issues, that hose and clamp probably would have had years of life in it; why it's always important to fix singular issues, it just costs you more later…
Just thankful that people opt to make repairs so you can make these videos.
Being from the Copper Radiator era, cant get over how thin modern aluminium/plastic Radiators are.
I had the '98 GMC version of this truck with the same engine. Moderate fuel economy, but could pull like a semi. Fantastic all-terrain SUV.
I heard Chad music, at 12:00
The worst engine ever made!
Shortcut that takes double amount of the time?
Its all about the journey, not the destination.
qwerty
What about the rubber bushings that go on the bottom of the radiator that you pointed out I noticed that the new one did not have any installed it without them please elaborate?
On the radiator can we just order new seals reseal it and put it back on and save the customer anywhere from $300-$600 that’s my suggestion that’s a lot of money today’s times but I’m not there lol God bless you Ray âœï¸âœï¸âœï¸
I hope you have a T-shirt in your merch store that says. "That would be bad"
Lol!
Was that a scream out to Steve Martin “flippidiy floppie
I love all the under tones in your videos…
Thanks for all productions – I have no idea why I'm watching this videos, but can't stop. BTW thumbs for radio station / playlist / DJ (whatever it is). I'll be off re-listening to SOAD.
Marc. That is comical
SOAD playing in the background for most this video warmed my heart.
I call them JC Springs!!!
Nice Job! I usually put a dab of engine oil or silicone on the inside of the radiator hose to make it easier to put on.
1:40 or the gasket is blown and put pressure on the cooling system! disconnecting the hose!
there's the problem at 14:40 there is rocks in that crevice lol
I hate when my hose gets 'soft and squishy'.
What was the bill on this one?
Another customer got scammed!!! Now they don't have to come back for a while! This gives us mechanics a bad rep!
