Im old school. Worked on many trans. I always split transfer case from trans. Faster and easier

Wow! What a P.O.S. design that is. I did a 1984 Ford 351W rear main oil seal and all I did was pluck the trans. out then took a small screwdriver and popped the seal right out. To install the new seal, put it up against the crank, then take a small paper clip and gently go around the double lip seal and then hammer it in even. Why have a freaking aluminum plate there? Maybe someone here can enlighten me on that. Thank You in Advance. GM is my second choice, Ford is my first so wtf is GM doing?

Wait till you have to replace the hybrid stator assy. Aka starter and cost. Ugh
I hate when I forget to take the dip stick out of an engine or trans. Happens all to often.
6:36 getting a wee bit dangly there m'aboy. The wobbly bits are forming a union.
I'd have pulled the transfer case before the trans. They always look like they'll come out easy without doing so, but they don't.
