I was paying for another purchase when this bug that had been parked since 1995 was offered for sale, and this is what happened after looking at it.

Oh my god…Mustie working on a VW Beatle. Just like in the good old days.
Have you ever tried fogging oil sprayed into the cylinders before rotation?
I would love to find one. Time capsule
Working on a 71 SB
Extensive rust repair underway (western Canadian car). Got a few good tips from you over the videos.
So good to see you. I agree with the other comments about your ability to keep it interesting.
You need to make a foot pedal for a remote start switch
Timing light never used lol.
I live in Brazil. I never knew the Brazilian version to this engine was junk. Nowadays people are paying 10s of thousands of dollars for these engines down here. I've been seeing a lot of these cars being restored like crazy
Off the road for 39 years from 1995 😮
Looks like a,$5500.00 gem of a car 😮
Had one of those auto stick supers back in the 90s Yellow weird to drive a bug with no clutch. Car was great but the offer I got after one month was better, Sold her off and got a Datsun 710 with a 4 speed for free about a month later. That was a fun one!
Mustie never tips his hand.
That's a nice one!
I love this guy so knowledgeable and entertaining â¤
Auto would be great 😅😅😅😅
Whenever I need a hint of motivation or a redirection to get back course with my own VW projects, Mustie1's channel is where you'll find me watching !! This one has me ready to dig into my beetles…
the old business card trick on point adjustment!
I just had a quick look at the prices here in Victoria Australia, prices range from $7,500 for an average one to $38,500 for one in simular condition.
I really like the respect you always show folks. You are nice but do not bullshit anybody either way, just lay it out straight. I think this blatant honesty is quite a bit of the appeal of your channel and always has been Congratulations on another fantastic find.
havent watched in a long while, then you had less than 80k subs… WOW look at you go a few years later with 679k subs !!! glad to see VW dub guy get support
Beautiful car and super clean.. this should clean up fine.. Looking forward to more on this one.
Hi Mustie. After watching your videos over the past decade, last year I finally decided to buy a driver quality bug. All inspiration and knowledge I received is completely owed to you.
What a great find. Congrats Darren!
Mmmmmm…. crun-CHY… Then the great one says, “It’s just the belt breaking off the pulley…†All these years watching you, and I’m still merely an observer. Harumph.
