a friend picked up this cross between a vette and a frog kit car, it is based on a air cooled vw chassis, no real history on it but lots of damage, lets see if we can bring it back to life. note this was filmed in mid Jan 2020,

  1. Lovin that humor. I'd love to hang with these two for a day. I think they'd have me in stitches all day long. My ribs would be sore for days! It would be a day to remember.

Like a less conspicuous dune buggy… and most likely really fast 🤣🤣🤣

  9. The name of, , this; kit car. . is, a, , 'Manta'; circa, early'70's, , ,I thought, it was the, best( hottest),
looking, VW(based/ powered , kit cars, on the market, ,& one of the more expensive, I wanted to, build, one, but couldn't, afford, to do so.. . Great, show, as, usual, , ,Mr. D!!!

  10. For anything that has set up for a long time, why not just buy a new set of points and condenser and install it before finding out if the engine has spark? Saves time and frustration! I do this because the parts are very cheap, and I do not care about getting a specific part number. I just match them up with another part by eye, then record the part number in a journal specific to that vehicle that I record ALL services done, when, what parts bought, their part number, oil changes, filter changes (gas, oil, and air filter). I even do this for yard power machines such as rider mower, hand mower, chainsaw, hedge trimmer, and other equipment run by small engines including my homemade DC welder. This makes periodic maintenance a "snap" for everything that runs on gas or diesel! I have yard equipment that runs like new because of PM and careful use. I run the equipment out of fuel before setting it up before storage for the next season. Saves me time, and much money!

  11. Ahh man, left youtube on for the dog while we were out & this came back around on autoplay. Got home about 25mins in & decided to let it roll, glad we did as it's a classic. I remember watching it when it came out but don't recall laughing quite as hard first go round. Thank you sirs, for the brilliant content. The way you pair play off each other works perfect & the laughter is just infectious. Here's hoping for more collabs with you two in future, honestly the most fun I've had on a single YT video for a long while.

  12. I've watched a lot of your videos and it just dawned on me not knowing what you do for a living you would make an excellent auto shop teacher I'm quite impressed with your work
