In this ASMR-style video, I’m working on a customer’s 2013 Honda CR-V—swapping out the rear brake pads and replacing the front sway bar links. No talking, no background music, just the real sounds of the job: wrenches, ratchets, and parts coming apart and going back together. If you’re into ASMR, cars, or just enjoy the raw sounds of a repair shop, this one’s for you.
-Enjoy!

  1. Those drop-links are a pain in the HooHoo. I've lost count how many Vice-grip broke their tooth on them. It gets to the point that I will not hesitate to use my angle grinder to either cut the nut, or grind out both side of the ball so I can fit a spanner on them.

  2. I have a 2012 and replaced all the sway bar links last summer here in Houston, TX area and it SUCKED. I don't have a torch, but had to use the dremel on a couple of them. I

  3. Mathew’s. Please don’t say you own the newest lift-x.. I’m a left handed Prime in-line cat. lol. Either way. We’ll both be happy in the woods. Good Luck in a couple weeks.

  4. I switched over to 24V impact’s couple years ago. If I ever get the urge or energy I’m buying one of the black mini guns just because it’s bada**.
Gave away all my Rodac and Blue Point air stuff .

  5. Loved the video! Though my wrenching confidence has taken a hit. I've grown attached to that "If I can do it, you can…" confidence booster.

Jokes aside, even though I know that I can't do half the things you can (or it will take me 5X as long) watching you work, watching you troubleshoot and realizing that it all makes sense IS confidence building for the rest of us.

  6. I guess Eric got bored and quit posting videos. He can't see anymore, he can't smell anything, his teeth are falling out and his nails are peeling off. It's from using too much brake clean over the years. I had a feeling he was going to retire. Well it was a good run Eric.

  7. Eric..I sense something is on your mind..pissed about something..watched to many of your vids to know you..a quiet repair..? nope..even Mrs O knows it..

  8. You left out the best part, your quick witty expressions that we all enjoy. We don’t know if it’s a Honda or hondoo. We don’t know if you took out old Vic or some other flamethrower. Still the best channel on u tube. Aaron from Canada

  9. Felt weird listening to just the tools, reminds me of when I used to work on automobiles, I really enjoyed it Thank you Mr O but we do miss your banter you and Mrs O are a hoot🎉🎉😊😊

  10. No caption and got us on mute… we’re still glued to South Main YouTube! I just did the same service on my 2007 CRV with the addition of both rear hubs and both right side abs wheel speed sensors.

  11. I don’t mean to criticize but tell people how important it is to check the air pressure in the spare tire. People never do till it is too late

  12. This is proof we’d watch you do anything. We’re pathetic.

Help – On my 2010 Maxima with 160K Orange County, NY miles … after backing up, when I turn the wheel to move forward (cutting the wheel fairly tight), the car feels as if the tires are under inflated and the car gives a little floaty slip (also similar to feeling like you just slipped on a bit on ice.). It’s fine on turns during regular driving and turning. The Goodyear tires are relatively new with plenty of tread and properly inflated. I changed every front end component because they were worn, cracked and rusty after 160K in NY. Had the car since new. Changed Struts, control arms, tie rods, sway bar links, brakes, rotors, calipers, wheel bearings, speed sensors. Had the issue before changing the components and still occurs.
    – Any chance the steering rack could cause this? Please help. Thanks.

  13. I dunno about the no speech ASMR, but then again, I'm used to a different type of ASMR videos. 🙂
And wouldn't it be a big surprise if when you dropped a tire and rim, they hit the floor and shattered like glass unexpectedly??
    Hi Mrs. O.! (waving)
