It’s time to start rebuilding the engine! In this episode, I install the piston sleeves, valve tappets, camshaft, crankshaft, and pistons.

Do you have to balance the crankshaft? It doesn't look like it has counterweights like an automobile.
What is the gasket sealer/"glue" you used to hold the oil pan gasket onto the oil pan.
Pete, I have been watching a lot of your videos. Listening to you is so soothing as you explain and go through each step of your rebuild. They are like a quiet song that sooths the soul. Keep the videos coming. They are great to watch and learn.
Pete, thanks for this video series of you restoring your Farmall Super C. I am enjoying it. I believe elsewhere you've said you don't have plans to restore any more of your tractors, but I still promise not to tell Squatch that you reuse fold-over locks… just kidding! Thanks again.
I so much enjoy watching your videos and your journey. My grandparents had a dairy farm dating from when he was discharged following WWII until my uncle passed away. They raised chickens for many years in addition to operating the dairy. They were very frugal in their operation, so watching you keep the old equipment in such good order brings about so many great childhood memories. I’m 3 years older than you btw and enjoying everything about your channel. Thanks, Pete! Fan from Mississippi.
I just love your mechanical videos, just don't see that much anymore.
I'm an aircraft mechanic and to me to you do it just like any manual has ever described.
I have your videos on all the time when I'm at home, just great.
that was very informative and enjoyable. i always wondered how those wet sleeves went together. even though ive worked on many engines, i learned by watching you. thanks from Indiana
I swear, I have never ever worked on a tractor but I feel like I could just fire up your videos and get the job done. Best how-to videos on the net. The natural, relaxed personality makes the video a joy to watch. Really well done.
Please do ………………. Circumcision
My husband and I enjoy watching you work in your farm and tractors. We learn and discuss your videos â¤
This is like building adult metal legos
Thanks Pete well done !
Thanks Pete, another great video. Something about your mannerisms just makes me feel good after watching your videos. Thanks again and great build. ðŸ‘
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Cleanliness is before godliness when assembling an engine! Great job Pete!
So when is the geared supercharger going in?
Pete!!!!
I have no idea, nor clue, to what you just did for the last 27:53, but I have to tell you….I enjoyed every minute!
Please keep up the "Good Work".
Rich from PA.
At my age 73 I had forgotten how simple it is to follow the basic steps and always take you time. It makes for a easy job. I watched all your vidios and enjoy them all. THANK YOU
How long do you think before the next rebuild?
Wonderful video Pete!
Thanks so much for posting this – I'm rebuilding a John Deere H and learned a lot about how to reassemble from here. Thank you.
Hey Pete! You know YouTube has infiltrated your psyche when you start measuring project completion time by how many episodes it will take!
Great job Pete.ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
Absolutely love these relaxing videos
Hey Pete, hope you are having a nice week. Thanks again for sharing ðŸ‘ðŸ‘😃😃ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
Nice work Pete! Looking forward to seeing you use that machine.
Mr. Pete, I am completely ignorant in mechanics. I understand just about nothing that you explain in your videos but I enjoy them so much. I find them relaxing, soothing and very enjoyable. you are meticulous and methodical in your work and you are eloquent in your explanations. Good job.
That was a great video Pete! God Bless, Daryl
I love your videos. Brings back old memories on building that engine. Thank you.
Thanks Pete for sharing this engine rebuild. Can’t stress clean enough when it comes to engines. A speck of dirt can cause lots of trouble.
Interesting
Off topic – love your YTs – but we want to come to the Ithaca Market Oct 22? I have a msg to them to see if they are still running the Market then….THANK YOU for your wonderful videos!!
Hi Pete
Just wanted to say what a fantastic job you did explaining step by step as you went along with rebuilding the engine. It really felt like I was sat in the garage watching you build it. Your explanations, sound, lighting and camera angles made it so easy to follow along. Brilliant. Can't wait for the next installment.
Best wishes
Andy
Can't wait to see it when done and running you do a great job !!!!!!! Have a great day
I've been watching for a while. I live in Mexico but am up visiting family in northeast Ohio. Have shared with some of my aunts and uncles about your channel and I mentioned that you weren't much for John Deere tractors and my 83 year old mother immediately said, "That's because we're Farmall people in this part of the country!" (without knowing what your favorite make is! )
I envy anyone that buys one of your tractors if you ever sell it cause it’s going to be worth it for sure. By the way I do the same with my builds as well.
Wow that's kinda cool Pete how the piston is in a sleeve & are disconnected from the whole entire block its kind of cool how back in the day stuff is built and how you still see to this day It's funny stuffy just nowadays is not made to last almost seems like there's more stuff from the 1,800s then the 90s you know LOL but love channel love the content god bless
I have no idea what is going on here (i.e., how an engine works/is built) but I find it fascinating to watch. I would never imagine cotter pins being used to hold something together!
Did you look at the cam for wear and lift? Teach always had us cut some gas line for the rod bolts. I see you were careful.
We all have techniques .Good procedures and build
Hello Pete, I have just finished your book and along with the videos I am finding your message very disruptive. I also want to get out of the rat race, farm and live in harmony with nature's cycles. Thank you!
I think I pulled a muscle straining while you were pushing in the sleeves…. 😉
It’s really saddens the heart Pete to think that all your hard work will be for not when we can no longer afford fuel . So much history will just sit and collect dust .
From one YouTuber to another, you make very nice videos!
Love watching engine assembly
