this is part 3 on this 1953 mgtd that was rescued from a barn in vermont. it had been driven into the barn in 1979 and never moved again, this is a few videos of what it takes for me to make it a safe driving once again.

It's hard to believe that someone designed a hydraulic brake system where you had to take up the carpet inside the car to top up the master cylinder!
Lesson learned. Make sure you carry enough tools to disassemble the interior if you need to add brake fluid on your trip!

The 'button' in the carpet, when you are trying to access the master cylinder, is a lift-dot fastener.
have you thought about using a rifle cleaning kit when cleaning fuse contacts?

Did you bench bleed the master first might have air trap in master cyl ?
My folks used to use toilet bowl cleaner on canvas which would probably work on that top

Take a soft hammer to the float bowl. They get sticky.
Use pet stain remover for the canvas.
Why you have kids; to pump the pedal whist yer underneath!
