Tube's not working, you will need a new ballest for a 8 foot 2 tube high output fixtures or bypass the ballest and install led 8 foot tubes
You need both 8 ft bulbs installed also there 8 foot high output tube's they tend to give off static electricity it's a good idea to wear rubber gloves
Got to have both in to work
Both bulbs ray.😊
I know that I am late to the game on this video but I want to tell you something. I love watching you fix cars and I get to learn. But netal buildings are my game and you don't want to hang that light on those cables. That is cable bracing to provide for the stability of the structure. All structures move. While you cannot see it move, those cables will be moving everyday. Gradually, they will wear into your attachment device for the light and then, as you say, GRAVITY.
This is comical to me as an electrician. What’s fun is doing this in a school gym with students throwing stuff at you. Good thing it’s not hot chili day.
Wago wire fasteners would be a good idea 💡
That fixture needs both bulbs instaled to work.
Ray, Troy and everyone: Please consider wearing a bicycle helmet when you get on a tall ladder, to protect your most important organ, your brain! I fell from a tall ladder last year, painting my house ALONE, in the BACK, to the concrete, and sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)! I was lucky, and my brain bleeds weren't too bad, I did crack my skull in several places, but they were closed fractures, broke ribs, which punctured a lung, which had to be drained – resulting in my only scar. Broke my collar bone too. So I was put in a coma for a couple weeks, on a lot of painkillers and special drugs, caught pneumonia and sepsis, but fought and was able to breath on my own after a few tries. Back to life, I had therapy to walk again, relearn to stand and balance – very hard. I couldn't shower or go to the bathroom alone for 2-3 weeks! After the Trauma Hospital, sent to a Rehab Hospital to be tested over and over, to make sure my brain damage was minimal. Had to do math tests, occupational therapy, prove I was thinking straight, could do laundry, cook, and made about 98% recovery – just left / some minor double vision, corrected w/ special glasses. Hospital bills were over 1/4 million, which Medicare covered a big part (my premiums have been $140 month), and 90% of the remainder medical bills were covered by Financial Aid, and after paying a few hundred, and more Outpatient Therapy at my local Hospital (#3), I am doing fine. But if I had just been wearing a $25 bicycle helmet, I would have likely prevented the most serious injuries!
Afraid of heights?
It's not the fall, it's the sudden stop that I don't care for.
Well done my friends
I SEE NOW WHY THEY FIRED YOU TWICE IN LESS THAT ONE YEAR ,YA THINK YOUR GOOD THATS A JOKE
Should have replaced the old gas bulbs with LED. Simple process just eliminate the ballast and hook power to both ends of the fixture and walla, led lights from an old ass fixture
Eric O. does not drop flashlights? Occasionally, I think he does. Eric O. does have more cool tools and diag equipment! You both make great videos. Both have amazing diagnosis skills, the Dealerships in your areas should feel embarrassed. I do wish you would leave the shop lighting and other electrical to a professional. Stay off the ladders, too!
Takes two work
You two of them two worked
You can remove the ballast and wire the 120 or even 240 direct to the fitting then install led tubes.
I heard Tom macdonald in this video. ðŸ‘
Replace wheel cylinders? I can't remember how many hundreds I've overhauled. Calipers too. Seldom needed to replace either one.
Just did the same job on our 2002 Escape a few months back, both inner and outers plus both lower control arms were all shot. Had almost 2 inch side to side steering wheel play.
P.S. Replace ALL the flex brake lines – the factory ones will eventually tear at the crimp points and may fail while driving.
When I watch you do any thing that has to do with electrons I must turn it off you scar me and I can't look.
You pit the spring end in first and need both tubes in to make it work. Also if you make the connection using your hand, the ballast in the fixture will put you on the ground without the use of the ladder.
Using an aluminum ladder to work on electrical wires isn't OSHA either…lol and if you had a fiberglass ladder you wouldn't have to worry about getting shocked if you just touch one wire. And when you place your ladder place it where you're leaning into the ladder to get to your work not leaning away from it.
Danger at 16:35. Fan running that is sitting in water around. Hope your outlets are GFI 🔌⚡⚡⚡
Don’t flick it with your finger. Keep two hands firmly on the ladder for safety and flick it with your tongue. It’ll be fine.
Those look like standard fluorescent lights. You'll need both tubes mounted before they will work.
Very nice to see your lovely spousal unit getting involved in your new venture. Great to see you turning wrenches again. The best of luck to you!
no wonder you're not an electrician
You have lots to learn about listing both tubes must be installed to light
I bought a Sure-Shot pressurized dispenser and a 5-gallon can of Brakleen. Lots cheaper than those cans!
Not using flare wrenches on brake fittings hurts my soul.
Best wishes to your new business!
YOU GOT THIS !
😎ðŸ‘
wow that takes me back to 1972 when wives helped…. Now I am on wife 3 and this ones says that sort of stuff is "man stuff" and refuses to help with brake bleeding etc…..even when its her car. I have to use the "bottle method"… (On the car naughty !)
better touch them together than flick it as it could stun you and cause you to fall off the ladder. If you touch them together you will trip the breaker and save a trip by shutting off the right breaker
those new powerful lights may be hanging too low and hit your truck. you would be better off with high brightness Led tube lights
Those 30 thousand loomin lamps are gonna really run up your utility bill
I think you need both lamps to make them illuminate
I installed all Led fluorescent type tubes, they are much brighter for less money to run them and they don't break if you drop them and you may get over five years on them or more! speaking from personal experience
I agree both bulbs need to be installed for the 8 footers to work
Get rid of those tubes and get you some T8 LED High output bulbs. They wire directly in with no ballast needed, just buy the direct wire bulbs.
You might want to check electrical local codes. The wire you need for the new lights needs to be run thru the thin wall conduit in my neck of the woods. Best of luck and success to you and the wife unit.
IS the other guy talking in the background your brother? he sounds just like you.
good on ya but like in your clips and how you mention folk messing with cars , you should leave electric to the man . even more so if height is involved . . so easy to fall . . save time and the risk of injury . . pay the man ,also hey it could make sure you continue to keep on with the youtube thing . . hell i'd miss you . .
And where is the music?? You cannot work without music??ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I have a 2011 ford escape and the one day I went too start it the battery light came on then my heater turned off. Then my power steering didn't work. And it's electronic power steering too. What do you think it is there was no code on dash.
The playlist in the backround is really similar to mine. 😀 Good to se you keping busy, keep it up.
