The Epstein case cannot be closed. If the FBI fails to act, the DOJ must reassign it or appoint a Special Counsel, and state authorities retain jurisdiction where appropriate. Countless victims have testified to abuse beginning at age 12. Accountability must follow evidence and due process. If credible investigations substantiate allegations that powerful figures—including Donald Trump, long associated with Epstein as an acquaintance and contributor—were complicit, prosecutors are duty-bound to act without exception. The FBI must also face accountability for investigative failures.
