Thanks to Jesse for making the intro and graphic for us to enjoy!!

Shop Supply Fees are necessary. The problem is stacking those fees on top of each other. Not that Ray does that.
As for paying the guys working for job, there is a new format hitting, where it is both a combo of Per Job and clock time. They get pain per hour, but are bonused based on their efficiency at doing the job. Suppose a job calls for 10 hours, and they get it done in 8, they get paid their clock time (8 hours) and get a bonus based on the Job time (10). Everyone should be getting the bonuses.

Your shop, your channel, your content. Though shop focused, I don't mind hearing your thoughts on politics & other miscellaneous ramblings!! ✌ðŸ½âœŒðŸ½
YouTube doesn't like me. Only just saw this two days later.

25:55 may I suggest you put a camera in your current location, maybe live streaming, this location so we can still see what’s happening. As you start to work on projects film them and add more content to your channel. This is just a thought.

Hello Rey, from Houston Texas
Hi Ray. I haven't been down there in awhile but, do you think my car will ever make a video of yours?
HI FROM TEXAS
HI RAY AND LAURA
Ray, Eric O was just in Florida recently hunting alligators with Vanessa & some friends. Not sure if he flew or drove down there though.
BUYER BEWARE.
Hiya RayðŸ‘
People that bitch about your shop fee never did manual maintenance work.
Would love to see you do a video with Eric O. Been watching both channels for years

GM tried cylinder deactivation in 1981 with the Cadillac V8-6-4. It was not a good running engine unless you turned it back into a regular V8 engine.
I like watching you work and I like your content! Don't stop till the world stop functioning!
Disappointed with YT. Not getting notifications.
Not a fan of these portrait videos. Landscape is better. If enough creators complain, they may change it.
I chaarge a shop supplies fee. It's a percentage of the labor part of the bill. I don't like when shops charge based on the entire bill, especially when they charge it on the sales tax.
Hey ray love your kids never miss them from ricci uk
I used to own a Coffee Shop and paid my employees $19 p/h. Most days, we were busy from 7a-11a. I mean, I needed 2 on espresso, 1 on the register, 1 on teas/liquid coffee/ground coffee and taking orders, 1 on the frappes and smoothies and taking orders and serving pastries and myself keeping up with condiments, spills, refills, etc.. and 1 more employee to work the one day off of the other employees. We would do over $1100 in 4 hours. But at 11a, 11:15a there were no customers. Then I have 4 or 5 employees do cleanup and then there was no reason for 4 or 5 employees because $19 p/h for 4 or 5 employees not making the business money costs the business 20% of the revenue in short order. Most people will not work just 4 hrs, a day, 6 days a week. My biggest expenses were employees and to-go cups. Cups were averaging .35 to .45 cents apiece. Add lids, straws, napkins….. That was my next biggest expense.
I enjoy your videos. I'm an American watching from Germany.
Sorry , bathroom break
Go , Go Gadget ,lets hear about the shop fees
When do you go to the new shop ?
It's 85 degrees here in La Quinta CA.
People that don’t want to pay the shop supply fee, can park their broken car out in the lot, grab an Uber and go purchase all those items themselves and supply them to the mechanic.
50:35 Took me by surprise 🤣
Not car related but boat related and same topic…..
i had my boat in a marine repair shop to have the skeg fixed, water pump and lower unit oil changed.
i was charged 3 separate times to remove the lower unit.
once for the water pump impeller change, once to have the skeg repaired (the fin looking piece at the bottom of the lower unit) and once to have the lower unit oil changed. (that can be done without removing the lower unit at all)
i called them out on it and they kept saying that they went by the book and that's what they can charge. As you said it, Ray, "That is not good customer service".
I'm not going back to said marine shop again.
Ray, official dates are 1965-1980 according to most folks and by those who determine when a generation begins/ends. There are overlaps perhaps, but if you were born in 1984/85, then you are millennial. I'm Gen X (born in 1965). I have 2 nieces born in 1983 and they are millennial themselves.
""if you pay guys by the hour they don't have any incentive to produce"" or something like that…….conversely…….if you pay them flatrate……..per job……..they do have incentive to sell things that aren't necessary. i've had way too many customers come to me with quotes from the stealerships for things that they weren't in need of.
Hello Ray and Louran from Little York Indiana
The go to shop is a dealership because people think they will repair anything.Ray a person needs to look for a good local shop that gives you value for your money ,Like Your Shop Ray
Ray zi vote for pizza. I am sure shop fees are reasonable. The pay for your mechanics is according to job interesting and not hourly
