On To PT2! Remove Axle for Engine Oil Leak! 2008 Hummer H2 6.2l https://youtu.be/8ioNRmJKCW8
I remember in older cars you had to actuate the solenoid with a button to remove the key
That thing on the OBDII is a vehicle tracker. It cN be used to locate or shut the car down. It also is constantly drawing power.
You should think about putting some type of cushion on the side of your lifts.
Watching this video was painful. The amount of times you shut that engine off and turned it back on.. jeez.
My 2003 h2 , turned out to be the wire down by the shifter. Key would not come out. Took cover off the shift lever and there is the issue wire was broke. Solder the wire no mire issue.
I know this an old vid, but why do people plug things ????? into the obd plugs ????? Thx for sharing
For goodness sake plz get a head mount for the camera! And use it! Love ur videos!
kinda seems like it had cattywampus ignition switch or equivalent from the first couple diagnostics
I would never want a H2 Hummer. Plastic junk ! Only the original H-1. ðŸ‘
Was having the same Electric Problem with my H3 , Traced it to the fuse block and just used some dielectric grease and that solved the problem.
this woodgrain is disgusting
I feel for that starter motor in this video. 😢
I had an issue like this (the restart difficulty) that only presented itself under a very narrow circumstance which you have not tried once. After the car was up to full temp, then you stopped to go into a store for 5 to 15 minutes, THEN when you went to restart it, it would give you that really rough restart. It never happened if you restarted it immediately (Like you did in each attempt) nor did it happen if you left it to cool down completely (like 45 minutes or more). Only when you turned it off, gave it 5-15 minutes to cool and then tried to restart it. I still think it was humidity related. I bring this up because as you were reading the customers comment it sounded exactly like my experience – again which it seemed to me you never actually tried to recreate. You were only testing for whether it would restart immediately.
I'm sorry I don't think h 2 are hummers.
So you never figured it out huh? Hope the customer at least got a new starter out of it.. Lol 😂
All I gotta say is I love the doodly doo of the phone. Besides the fact that Ray is cool, entertaining and makes this stuff even more interesting (I'm alr interested in mechanical stuff as it is) and the videos are entertaining.. I watch the videos because of that doodly doo. I have zero idea why but I can't get enough of it
I drive truck and the FIRST thing the shop does is unplug the liberal approved ELD (electronic log ) because it plugs into the ODB port and throws bogus codes once in a while.
Electrical Diagnostics, well done.
Are you having a problem with your car
No, the key stuck issue is a common H2 fail. Loose ground wire under the shifter .
Could it be the key will not come out if the door is open
Very interesting information on Hummer
Unless I missed it I never saw you plug back in that weird little cable you unplugged in the floor so you could check your computer what you want to bet that if you actually backtrack that red wire or those two wires that were plugged in where your computer plugs in that probably would have been the problem to fixing it which means the power plug on the floor is basically just a jury-rigged they're probably started this whole bulshit
Would it help to reprogram the key? Just asking.
I came here for the dododeedoos!
Did your dick feel a little smaller while test driving it? 😆
This thing gets better mpg than my 2020 ram! Can't wait to get out of it come April
Sometimes a google search is the quickest way to diagnose an oddball problem. Not trying to be a troll, but when it comes to more than a day's diagnostics it's a strategy to keep in mind.
Yea, the problem is that it needs to be in the fuckin junkyard because it's a GM product. There's the problem
I would have tried spraying the female harness connections under the fuse block with Deoxit 5 and visually inspected that particular socket for that fuse.
I hate those GM fuse Panels.. Junk like 90% of the other chinese electrical components in a gm. It matches the Chinese plastic wood interior!
I have a hummer g2 u gotta jerk the wheel back and forth for the key
You are an awesome mechanic, I have been watching alot of your videos lately and you go above and beyond to diagnose, communicate, and repair, the vehicle in question. I think you would do very well with your own shop. I am in North Carolina, I wish you was down the road from me. You would be the only person to touch my vehicles.
Lovely wood effect plastic dash…niiiice.
The Hummer should have been called the "Dummer", because only dumb people drive these. It's the most stupidest vehicle ever made. Why on Earth do you need to drive such a huge, stupid vehicle with pathetic fuel economy ???
Heavy, just heavy.
Good job.
intermittent faults are always a pain, well done.
everyday bullshit
Never pull the mirror in by hand…. always use the button on the inside. You'll damage the mechanism
I drive a 99 v70 volvo that the key gets stuck took me 3 months to work out the gearstick button was getting stuck
Bump
Good lord, its a retarded hmmwv, with gasoline. Only upside is it can do highway speeds.
