When Qualcomm announced the new Snapdragon 8 Elite, it provided us with some benchmarks it captured itself. Those were helpful, but how can we fully trust them if we didn’t witness them happen? Now, we have some of our own benchmarks that we captured ourselves using a Snapdragon 8 Elite reference device. These still won’t be as good as the benchmarks we’ll get from actual retail devices in the coming months, but they are still quite interesting and exciting to see!

I would love to see the latest chinese-made chips in this comparison will you ever do that?
Idk, when I still got midrange devices I play games heavily, (500k to 1M+ Antutu)
Now, having 8 Elite, I got bored and peaked … and never played a game on it😢
Idk

8 elite in multi-core score 9793,10226,10052,8840,9951,9244,9080 A18pro in multi-core score 8720,8692,8902,8772
I wonder how much Samsung will overclock the 8 Elite in their S24 Ultra? ðŸ˜
The reference model isn't that far behind the devices that already have the 8 Elite. The Rog Phone 9, Red Magic 10 Pro and OnePlus 13 pro all have the 8 Elite and blow everything out of the water.
Me with my s21 5g EXYNOS 2100 battery is mess up will be changing it this week, i need this phone to last me until i can buy a phone with snapdragon 8 elite for 400$ usd or less and i will be financing it😂
Warzone Mobile: Finally a worthy opponent…
We get it. It is a reference device. But please, keep repeating it. SMH
I don't believe the numbers yet
This is awesome, thanks for sharing the benchmarks. Excited to see what Samsung will do next year!
Hard pass. As a normal user my galaxy 15 lte serves me well. It is very cheap plus software support is excellent.
Laptop in your pocket 😮
Meddiatek dimensity 9400 is better then Snapdragon 8 elite I am pretty sure
Frankly, I could care less about the Samsung Galaxy s25 ultra. I'm more interested in the OnePlus 13.
Holy cow I felt great having the S24 Ultra and it being as fast as it is. Look at me now… Man, hardware these days gets left in the dust in just a year or two!
man if Qualcomm started selling their own android phones
Yeah d proccesor is already super strong and fast but how about its battery cosumption to the device itself especially when gaming heavy graphcal games for hours?.
It is cooking its own life?
Lmao
It will be better in the S25 ultra
I currently have a note 10 plus and I don't see why I should update to the so-called fastest processor when you still can't play GTA IV GTA V on these phones. And I'm pretty sure the Samsung 25 Ultra is going to be around $1,300 to $1,400. I just bought a gaming laptop late last year that can run a lot of PC games on ultra settings and it was under $1,000. This is pretty insane no need to buy these expensive phones.
I'd like to see mediatek 9400 with Vivo x200 on this. That's only fair.
5Gspeed ia good + top cpu gpu
android need full support keyboard+mouse and desktop mod .. we can play cloud game .
Play gta 5 with max high graphics 😊
I hope this bosts linux use for gaming
A chip for tiktok??? Must be better uses surely…..
Debating whether to upgrade from 8 gen 3 to the elite.
Hmmm useless like most of the ai well image generation is different most of them follow chat gpt things like if i have ChatGPT why would i use ai on a browser or in brave or in the whatsapp facebook so bombardment with these same thing under different covers is really useless to search what now even amzon has launched same ai thing to see about product review and at the end the ai cant even say that this product has low reviews its trash don’t buy its just 1 click away reviews there i can read see pictures so Rufus is useless many big companies now just wanted to add anything in the name of ai innovation with zero practical usability or authenticity i again have to go to google to check the authenticity of info and yes i have found many things wrong and when I explain that this is wrong it says yes your correct
Want this thing on budget friendly thin laptop. Just need to surf web, watch videos, email & windows 360.
Still not beating the a 18 pro
Same thing every year, people go head over heels for these numbers only to use snapchat, Instagram and internet browsing on their phone.
I would say that you could've mentioned how historically, the scores in the reference devices were very close to the actual scores the retail phones were able to produce in their retail versions. So, expectations for the S25 ultra and OnePlus 13 scores will be in the same ball park, given this.
So it's better than an M2 chip 💀
Samsung surely will tonedown its performance for battery sake..pity and sad to see tensor on pixel..like middleship soc level
Imagine having this chip + root and custom rom😳🔥
Antutu is unreliable and innacurate. They claim that bionic chipset gpu benchmarking process is different than android's snapdragon, mediatek, exynos and etc. Bold statement when those chipsets use the same arm architecture.
Use geekbench instead.
Now smartphone companies need to think how to fit a small cooling fan inside their smartphone
So thats a phone with 4100mah battery so it got a 40% extra increase in battery life so… imagine with 5000 and 6000 mah
Did that phone really have 24GB of ram? I doubt we’ll see any phones having that much ram for a while. The S24 Ultra only has 12GB
With this kind of chip, the phone should launch windows on arm when docked.
So no 8 gen 4?
Dimensity 9400 should be added in the comparison, AI loads should also be tested. Not everybody wants to play CPU/ GPU intensive games on their phones, image-manipulation etc are much more interesting for a lot of people. What is the power draw?
Useless, i see these snapdragon bs presentation all the time
Enough with the benchmarking apps and claims
Apple actually shows their chips running high end games instead of what they do to benchmark apps
Lets not forget how grarbage the X elite laptops were even tho they claimed to be more powerful than apples laptops
Enough with half assed claims and start actually delivering those claims
Emulator users, Oh no it's still need some improvements, it's true for high end gamer ( 120GB+ PC games)
my 16 pro is 3511 on single core and 8747 multi core
The new naming after 8genN(8 elite) should signifies playing PC games on mobile phone devices with good graphics and no over heating issues till 8gen9 we had the good amount of time to achieve it
I wonder how much time is needed to play dota2 god of war black myth wukong on phone devices (I saw someone installed windows on phone with sd888 and played some PC games on it I guess it's only a contract problem)
phone got the same GPU score in wild life extreme as the rtx 3050 notebook gpu.
Double the single core score of an i9 9900k and 25% higher multi core score than the i9 9900k.
People: Yup lets do nothing but social media in it and call it mediocre for gaming next year so we replace it to play Subway surfers and candy crush on it.
