Some days I want to fire EVERYONE!

Join the concrete crew as we set up, pour, and finish a colored and stamped front porch. Even though I was frustrated early in the morning, this one turned out great. Enjoy

  1. Someone commented this before on the guys being late, but I thought it made sense. If they are late for the day, send them home without pay. I think that is the ONLY way they will get it through their thick skulls. I dont get it, its so easy to form a new habit to get yourself to work on time.

  2. Unfortunately, no, it isn't just you. It's the day and age we live in.

Because you're the boss, and have the audacity to make more money than your employees (because you, ya know, own the company) people online think your employees should be allowed to come and go as they please. I'm dead serious too.

You're talking about a generation of people who think they deserve x y and z simply because someone else has it and they "deserve it". They have tried to pass off "time blindness" as an actual condition, not just laziness which IS what it is. And not caring.

Everybody who doesn't own their own business, has a boss of their own, and isn't as well off as a white man somewhere all seem to think if the situations were reversed, they would be totally cool with people coming late, breaking stuff, not cleaning up, etc. Everyone is the most understanding, chill person alive who would donate all their extra cash to random people and pay their employees the same amount they themselves make. Obviously it isn't true. Just a bunch of virtue signaling goofballs online. Don't worry about it.

We deal with the same thing in my line of work. A lot of young people, constantly late and it's ALWAYS the same excuse. Oh I didn't wake up. Oh the roads are slippery (in Indiana where you know ahead of time snow is coming and have been doing it for your entire life) oh I was on my way, idk what happened.

It's everywhere these days. And we can't fire them because the next morons will do the same thing. Plus I'll be at work for 24 hours every day and I'm not doing that. It's ridiculous but they've pretty much made it impossible to find a worker who doesn't come with at least 1 major red flag or behavioral issue.

Keep your head up man stay positive. Worst comes to worst you have an awesome company which is profitable and will always give you work. You can find replacements whenever. Even if just temporary like everyone seems to be these days 😂 some of these clowns got so used to hiding inside with the plandemic they just can't bring themselves to work 8 hours 5 days a week 😂 real tough people

  3. Stop mentioning the employees being late. We all know you’re just talking and trying to make content with drama. You let the get away with anything. As long as you have been in the concrete business you know they wouldn’t make it a full week anywhere else. Except maybe little Ray

  4. Flaunting for you're employes everything you are buying is never a good idé. They will recent you sooner or later.
I would love to no the wages. Probably minimum wage for concret

  5. I had a job for 40 years and I always treated it like if it was my own business. I used to be the first one at work all the time and the last one to leave. I always took care of the boss and at the end of the day or year and the boss took care of me.

  6. It’s a catch 22. If you pay your workers well and treat them good they’ll almost always take advantage of you. When they have money in the bank, they’re more likely to call out. If they need money, they’ll show up. The best thing to do isn’t to punish the bad but to praise and incentivize the good

  7. Ryan, tell ALL your employees if they don’t show up on time you’re going to call “ICE” on them!!! I bet they’ll start showing up 30 minutes early everyday!!😅

  8. I wish ya could get a better look at how bad the garage floor looks. Garage floors and basement floors need a finishing machine. They did by hand two times could have atleast done it 3 times. I guarantee if it was on his property it would have been done right
