Do you keep your doors locked on your vehicle when in parking lots or in malls?Maybe someone had stole it and had to ditch it in a hurry. Or put it in the wrong vehicle. Same alarm door unlock remote signal perhaps.
I found it interesting to watch Ray navigate that MacBook Pro. I have been an Apple Computer user for over 30 years and seeing a non-Apple user figure out how to use the computer was enlightening. What I take for granted from my years of using them was something foreign. Of course Ray was suspicious of the laptop from the start, so that hampered his use in the beginning. I hope this was not a gag.

Someone had the balls to leave that in the truck and not say hi to ya. Thankfully I park my car in a garage so if someone breaks in they will not like the lead poisoning that they get. I know you live in the country. Someone tresspasedt onto where you live and you got no clue. I know you now have cameras set up after the fact. Bold for some one to trespass when they don't know if the owner is armed or not. I am the former not the later.

OK so check out the local school and Computer store and just ask if someone lost a bag or a computer – So the car was open and a kid was on the run with a stolen computer, he knows the bag is hot cause it's on the shop security and he had to Run so he takes his school work out [which ID's him] and leaves the bag in your truck. Without the bag the target looks like any other kid on the street and there's hundreds of them. Don't try to sell it it's Red Hot. Apple is expensive you have not begun to pay yet

Apparently the apple symbol with the piece taken out is a homage to Alan Turing of WW2 fame where by he created the computer that broke the German enigma code. Turing was a brilliant man and gay. After the war the British legal system through the police, convicted him for seeking a man out and the judgement was chemically castrate him as a swap out for a jail term. He eventually commented suicide by lacing an apple with cyanide and took a bite. This was Steve Job's homage to him, a war hero.
After what happened to Adam and Eve no apple for me besides poking fruit is just weird!

The rare and almost a small possibility may have occured. but, maybe you made someone very happy about the work you have done, and so in return, they bought you a gift without any kind of note or well anything to say – Thank you! some people do try to do good things! I just watched this video, did Ray figure out who gave him a laptop?
You could track the real owner of the ipad by the serial number via apple.
