On the first day of Drag Week Jeff Lutz has a little mishap with steering wheel coming off half way down the track. His first reaction is to grab the steering shaft and control the car, but that wasn’t quite cutting it and he managed to get the steering wheel back on and save the car!

This happened to me on a go cart we built with a brand new factory Honda Elsinore 250cc motor at 75+ mph, I wasn't so lucky, i tok out a large commercial property sign, a 6×6 light post, and a 6" tree. No broken bones, but quite a few stitches and many trips to the chiropractor…
