Hey Chris, why not use autocd?
Honestly I have used autojump for years, it's fine. Zoxide is interesting though, the zi command does seem very useful.
Better use cd but with the power of z ( zoxide ) .
Example.
cd = z
cdi = zi
And so on… 👌
I was using MS-DOS as a child.
I was born in cd, moulded by cd.
I didn't see the z until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but confusing!
God I'm 22 but I use cd😂😂😂
Chris is wrong about needing to restart the shell, you can call dot on $profile instead
Installed this, this week, it doesn't seem to like directories with spaces in them on Windows

this makes me no longer need file explorers….even terminal file browsers become obsolete with this
yes i wanna do things slow and will use CD, learning these new commands which aren't worth it to learn for the benefits are pointless to me.

why z? cd means change directory. it makes more sense. there is no point saving typing 1 letter to make things incomprehsible

alias z/zi to cd/cdi to cover 'involuntary' muscle memory.
Zoxide registers every directory you cd into. No need to always use z for that.
i still use CD for music lol
