The battle that played out during Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings reflected deep divisions in Washington that may seem unique to the moment. But as FRONTLINE reveals, the intense politicization on display during the Supreme Court confirmation process — and the transformation of the Court itself — has been a shift decades in the making.

  1. Sexuality shouldnt be in the courts, man and women shouldnt be in the courts. It should only be about people, and partnerships. We added sex, we added political correctness to the courts, this is the problem. You get people who think beliefs are ok to make it political and it snowballs. Marriage is a church thing notna government thing, if your gonna give tax breaks to male and female partners then it should be given to all american partners, thays freedom. And it shouldnt matter if your black or white, if you have bad judgement if you have bad views, then it should be spoken on. Period. Color matters little. Clearence Thomas amongst the worse of thebworse of judges.

  2. If a nation Appoints Judges, than that country cannot Boost of Independent Judiciary -Appointment is nothing but a powerful tool in the hands of the political class to tame people in High Places. No Political party any where in the world will ever debate "Appointment to be Scrapped" This is essential for political class to keep the system Just corrupt enough for their Agenda to hang on to power.

  3. We need a constitutional amendment that anyone seated on the SCOTUS must not be allowed to render decisions based on political partisanship. We also need an oath of ethics and ethical oversight by congress. I think the oversight is the only way to hold them accountable for their decisions. If they lie at their confirmation hearing and render a decision opposed to what they stated they would do or not do, they are impeached. No one with a drug, alcohol, or sex crime history should be allowed to even be nominated.

  4. God, I cannot stand McConnell. Cannot wait until his time expires on this earth. He is such a gross person, disgusting to look at & filled with so much contempt & racism. He is scum of the earth.

  5. More biased reporting. Everything youre complaining about conservatives. The democrats do the same exact things. Only to a much higher degree. DemoRATS try to use mobs and chaos to stop anything they don't like. And youre surprised when conservatives give demoRATS a taste of their own medicine??? Boo hoo!! Cry me a river
