We need a constitutional amendment that anyone seated on the SCOTUS must not be allowed to render decisions based on political partisanship. We also need an oath of ethics and ethical oversight by congress. I think the oversight is the only way to hold them accountable for their decisions. If they lie at their confirmation hearing and render a decision opposed to what they stated they would do or not do, they are impeached. No one with a drug, alcohol, or sex crime history should be allowed to even be nominated.
