This is part 3 of the Switching to OpenSUSE 10 Day Challenge Series. In this video, I go over all the downsides and differences I’ve run into while being on OpenSUSE.
Differences than other distributions:
-Limited Software Repositories by default
-Btfs by default – Some apps don’t like this and auto-partitioning is crazy
-RPM based packages – Most Linux desktop users prefer DEB.
-Zypper terminal package installer
-Less popular so not as many guides online
-Bulky – Need a good computer – Older, slower hardware doesn’t do well .
