40 thoughts on “The iPhone Air is BAD news for Android

  1. I'm really hoping somebody else buys Nova launcher. I don't know that it's really worth it to stay on Android when it's been a second-class platform for so long and now my favorite thing about the platform is about to go away. I might as well just move to Apple since Android is trying to copy them at every turn and in the process removing customization as well. I definitely don't want to do that I'm not a huge fan of iPhones. I've had a few as well as iPads and I prefer Android. But really I prefer Nova launcher as my launcher on Android because all the OEM launchers suck. They all lack features compared to Nova. I can't believe Samsung or Google hasn't tried to buy or replicate Nova launcher. I hope it's not the death of Android and I'm pretty sure it won't be but I don't think there's much left for me on Android that would prevent me to go to iOS after Nova launcher is gone. I'm hoping if I do eventually have to go to iOS that they'll fix their stupid front camera and add a fingerprint sensor. As it is, if Apple made an Android phone I would buy that in a heartbeat but I hate their current iPhone hardware.

  2. The Air is going to be the winner by far. What the battery life concerns, Apple say it has the same capacity as the iPhone 16 pro so it should be fine. I don’t need a vapor chamber and I don’t know what. One camera is more then enough for my use. The Air is the thinest, the Pro Max 17 the thickest ever! Nope, not for me.

Mark my words, the Air is gonna be the most popular phone this year.

  3. Rich fools will still buy those ultra thin short battery life phones, but I won't. 8.5mm is fine for me for almost 5000mAh battery, though my next phone will certainly much bigger than that because my manufacturer of choice is not chicken when choosing battery tech.

  4. The typical Android phone hardware is no where near as efficient as Apple’s hardware and the new A19 pro is insanely efficient even compared to previous Apple CPUs. Your rant about how bad the battery life will be is just silly when you have no idea.

I am a tech professional and have been for over 30 years – usually I go for pro max phones but I will be going for the Air because it is light and thin. I do not need all those cameras on the pro phones and I am definitely tired of holding a brick all day when I’m reading an ebook.

  5. 19k views in 2 days with 3.4 million subs. I dont even know you but the lies you yapped about battery etc and the lack of views on this video clearly shows you have lost credibility if you even had any.

  6. I don’t know where you got the info that it’s a standard battery in the iPhone air. I haven’t found that anywhere. Apples keynote actually specifically said it has a high density battery

  7. I have an iphone 13 pro which has a was worse battery than the air (even when new). Im currently at 78% health. You bet your A** im gonna notice a massive battery improvement. I for one am super glad they did NOT make this phone thicker in order to get 2 more hours of battery life. When i charge my phone at night im still at 15-20% (mind you my phone battery health is 75%). So no, I don’t need a bigger and thicker phone for more battery.

  8. Chinese Android OEM Tecno already has two new releases that mimic the 17 Air and Galaxy Edge thin formula which is how it's been historically speaking, it's usually the Chinese that are first to copy what Apple is doing. Tecno will tell you they showed off an almost production ready concept of this device before the Air's release earlier this year but pretty reliable leaks of the Air had already been floating around so you can bet it's no coincidence the Tecno looks very much like the Air.

  9. Don’t listen to this guy he is talking absolute crap ! His channel is called android he must be Apple hater according to Apple the air will last as long as the last year 16 pro !! 27 hours ! I have 14 pro it has less battery then air but it lasts me more then a day and I live on my phone

  10. In contrast, my iPhone 15 Pro Max boasts an exceptional battery life that extends throughout the day. The Air model’s battery life is only a two-hour difference. Therefore, consider the practical aspects of my work environment. I can charge my phone while working, driving, and typically carry a charging bank with me. Additionally, when I am at home, I rarely use my phone. Consequently, a thinner and smaller iPhone that retains its power is a significant advantage for me. As I am not a content creator, the additional camera is not an issue for me. I have pre-ordered the Air model because the Pro lineup does not appeal to me.

  11. apple probably lowered clock speed to allow the small battery to give decent longevity? And also would reduce the cooling requirerment? Which would be an issue on such a thin phone.

  12. Numbers…Thats where you went wrong. Us android heads focus too much on specs to draw conclusions from them. The efficiency of the A19 Pro will render your battery argument mute. As long as it can last a day, iPhone users will not care regardless of what we android users think. Android phones, will most likely have the Silicon Carbon batteries if/when this form factor takes off.

  13. Don’t people understand that some people don’t sit on their phone all day? My screen time on my 15Pro Max is around 2/3 hrs a day and around 95% of my photos taken was with the main camera.. I’ll take the lighter weight, size, battery, and single camera any day of the week
