The definitive Linux tier list. It will make many upset, but I explain why there are so many pointless distros that score so low on the tier list.

  1. I want to play dota 2, browse on brave web browser, and edit videos on capcut or something like it simple and easy. Looking for easy install and stability for these 3 things. Any recommendations for a distro that would be perfect for me?

  2. I was recommended pop!_OS because of the out-the-box nvidia drivers, but i quickly began getting frustrated at gnome, so i ended up installing kde-plasma on it and it worked for a while, then i switched to kubuntu just to free up the space that gnome took up. And it works for now. Still, now im considering switching to debian.

  3. "if you dont know how to install/the inner working of arch, i dont think you should be in an arch distribution" bruhhhh
just moved from win11 -> cachyOS. definitely dont feel the need to understand arch in order to use this OS….

  4. I basically look for look and feel of the OS, I know the gui and wrappers can be changed but I don't like a lot of un-necessary stuff in my distro. Right now using Linux Mint, it just feels right, and I appreciate your gaming distro options, going to check some of those out. 👍

  5. I was use debian, ubuntu, kubuntu, arch, fedora kde, kde neon, popOS and today i use endeavourOS.
Just use what make you comfort and why you need it, not by tier list suggestion.

  6. I still don't get why Ubuntu made it in the Devil tier. Does it have anything smelly like RedHat or it was just because of the snap?

  7. Fedora has nothing to do with RHEL. It serves as a base for RHEL to implement features, especially security features. but Fedora is independent of RHEL (source: Fedora Documentation)

  8. Debian can also be everyone (noob friendly and experts). I know absolutely nothing about Debian, used to using Fedora, and I managed to install it in less than 10 minutes, thanks to the graphical installation.

  9. 25:50 No hate from me. I agree with most of your choices. I am going through the switch from Mint to Debian myself. I have been running my Mint box(s) for years so getting Debian up to speed with all my little tweaks I have done to Mint is going to be a time consuming process, but I love making changes and tweaking things on my PC so now winter is coming I am starting a new project of making the switch.

  10. Kali is not pointless; the whole point of Kali over Debian is that it's a live distro that can be used for forensics or recovery, with the useful tools already installed. If you want to do the same with Debian you'd have to install a system and then install the packages, which kind of defeats the purpose of working on the system you're trying to diagnose .

  11. Honestly the main thing that is keeping me from switching to Linux at this point is the community. There are so many comments and posts where people have such a superiority complex and they talk down to new users even though EVERYONE’s experiences are valid. We can all agree Windows is jank but at least the community acknowledges that it’s jank. The Linux community tends to sweep that sort of stuff under the rug

  12. Yo, all you non-Arch Linux scrubs—Arch is the absolute boss of distros, so quit wasting time with trash like Ubuntu or that ancient fossil Debian. Snap out of it! Ubuntu's this bloated hog that gobbles 1GB+ RAM for zero reason, while Debian's stuck in 2005 with crusty old packages. Meanwhile, Arch cruises on just 150MB like a champ with bleeding-edge everything. Both are corpo junk and old-school garbage for total noobs who fear real Linux vibes. Smart folks know Arch rules with its killer Wiki, endless tweaks, and pure power—everything else is for lazy bums okay with meh.

Arch is the top-tier master race.

    BTW, I use Arch.

  13. The fact that 2 bad distro is at top called supreme distro this guy don't hvae any knowledge

Debian although super stable its repo is outdated and u need to extra configure if u want to install some thing for example debian 13 don't have mysql it has maria db

And then there comes arch linux 😂 kids install arch just to say arch btw 😂 arch is super fast due to pacman but its broken and cutting edge and its feature get broken and its more about learning how os works instead of serious work

Fedora is dnf based a little slower and also cutting edge its feature again gets broken

In linux u only need ubuntu, kubuntu, linux mint or pop, zorin based on ur personal user experience they all work the same with stable lts ubuntu repo
