The Porkers Get Hammered errr...Loaded 🍺😆

Pigs don’t GET loaded; they load themselves! Today we’re backing the “ugly box” (also known as a trailer) up to the pig pen to get them used to it. I’m also doing more maintenance on the Farmall 756, spreading more driveway stone, and taking a drive to see the state of our pastures.

-We do not offer farm tours or accept visitors
-We do not sell from the farm
-We do not ship our farm’s products
-We do not sell live animals

  1. Start wearing like a bright orange hat with the "Just a Few Acres Farm" written on it when you go to auctions, for I can find you easier to say high Pete. Keepup the good work. Your awesome!!!

  2. Thanks for everything you do on your you tube videos. You are so lucky to have Hilary by your side . She deserves a huge amount of gratitude for all she does .see you this summer at Market.

  3. I like how you do not force the animals. The idea of backing up the trailer and feeding them on it for a week is just great! I am a carnivore who is so glad you enjoy all these animals. I will start looking for grass fed when I shop.

  4. Ezra’s poem, Love to east those mousies, mousies what I love to eat, bite they little heads off, nibble on they tiny feet. Written by B Kliban.

  5. I remember when my one of my grandpa's cow's had gotten loose and a neighbor of his hit it with his truck luckily it was a truck for his sake but no other choice but to cut the bruised off and save what was left.. hitting a deer will total a car or truck but imagine hitting a cow..

  6. You're very happy for tenant man and I watch you all the time and I'm so thankful to see somebody work as hard as you do and farm is not easy job it's a hard job but God picked you and your wife and thank you for putting it on YouTube Mrs Martin from Orlando Florida

  7. So, I am over 65, and a woman, and I grew up on a farm, and I enjoy your videos so very much!! I love how you talk to your animals I love your relaxed attitude I love your funny jokes, and I love watching everything you do and this is going to surprise you but I even love you changing the oil and oil filter and whatever it is you’re doing on your tractors. Growing up on the farm the girls were in allowed to be around the machinery other than when we were smaller we could get up and get a ride on daddy’s lap or stand Beside him when he had his certain Farmall that had a standing area next to the seat… My mom often still be stadium with her arm around daddy! It was a great site😊❣️❣️ anyway I don’t care what you’re tinkering with on the farm I enjoy it because I never got a chance to watch it!!I’ve been college three times: studied architecture and accounting for two years along with art; then 10 years later I went back and study graphic arts as that seems to be the focus of art and money for another two years; and many years later at the age of 47 I got a degree in interior design because only 10% of the women were still allowed to be an architect and get a room and a window and have her name on the drawing. I’ve been through too much in Life to have to work under a man again & not get credit and was interior line when your license she’ll get it re-draw up plans because people change your mind and you have to know how to do it you have to understand everything about plumbing and electrical and you get a help then put their house together… Such fun. I like to know how things work. I really had a good brain and I was gifted with a good Brain.. I even took more math classes including calculus and advanced geometry where I learned about algorithmic equations and I graduated with honors. Unfortunately two weeks later I was diagnosed with stage for breast cancer. So that should’ve changed my plans… And now I live vicariously through farming videos such as yours.

I certainly agree that when you change the oil and filters in that tractor and you started up again, it sounds like a new tractor and runs so much smoother. You can tell the difference in the engine. I’ve been around engines most of my life and I’ve even worked for some high end auto companies. I raised two boys and I learn to study cars and listen to trucks and I went to races so I love the sound of a good sounding end of it whether it’s attached to vehicle or a tractor. I love the sound all your tractors they all have a unique sound each of them. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy them with you.

I also love that you taught all of your animals. My dad did as well but he didn’t really like anybody to know he was, But I was close with him and had the privilege of sharing those events. The pigs look perfect for going to sell… You’ve done good my father enjoyed raising Hogs especially…Very rewarding and great turnover. Something again he kept us girls away from… Do you want to study ladies and keep us safe from harm. I respect him for for that ♥️

  8. Dear public who read comments . This presentation Pete at the 10-12 second mark dogs you-tube as crack pots. Interesting here he is promoting himself on you-tube and the daily operations on a farm for you-tube . Wow I have seen video's over years that for my own interest or you-tube videos have been used in my college course work on various topics related to my class . I guess all these videos are crack pots that were being used ? I still enjoy " Just a Few Acres Farm ".
The publicaion of May 5, 2022 gives me a wrong message and comments by Pete , "as a waste of time ", really has me bewildered . Surely this was ab-lib and not fully thought out as positive productive message .

  9. Worked at a large beef slaughter house ( steers, bulls, cows, calves, lambs ,& sheep ) . At least once a week cattle truck would come in with some pigs for a nearby pork slaughter house. If the wind was blowing in right direction could smell the pigs from at least 400' away. We had a smelly rendering plant where they had huge cookers ruining 24/5 but nothing smells as bad as pigs.

  10. Hi Pete! My husband, kids and I love your channel! We own a small farm in North Central MN. You talk a lot about your meat chickens and that you butcher twice a week all summer long. I'm wondering if you would be able to show your set up and process? We also do a few hundred meat chickens and a few ducks each year and are trying to become more efficient! Keep up the great content!
