Locos de mierda.
Just watched this and it's not very good. How can they discuss this without even mentioning Zarqawi and al-qaeda in Iraq ? They didn't explain the sort of distant really non-connection between Bin-Laden and Zarqawi's terrorist group. It's muddled and clearly slanted with a point of view that pins this on Obama and recent history without really exploring the actual seeds that started this beginning with Bremer and the de-Baathification and the break-up of Iraq's army during the Bush years.
This "documentary" had to willfully ignore all of that. The result is an incomplete picture. Obama was handed a broken country and now the hawks want him to create the same sort of power vacuum by taking out Assad. Things aren't so simple. I like Obama's smart thoughtful approach to dealing with this instead of just mounting an ignorant invasion and letting the chips fall where they may.
For a better, more complete history read Joby Warrick's "Black Flags: The Rise of Isis".
Very disappointing, Frontline. It could have been truly informative but this is just a political attack.
Is ISIS the Al Qaeda 2.0? I wonder… Smells like bullshit, walks and talks like bullshit, MUST BE BULLSHIT!!! Don't buy it. Let them stick ISIS up their I-SSES!!! This is pure propaganda for more FEAR MONGERING to continue warring, and scamming the American people, who are the ones paying for this BS that is making tons of MONEY for a select few. These same people are playing "How many ways can we Fool & Scam the American People, while WE Laugh all the way to the bank." ISIS is as "Dangerous & Evil" as was Al Qaeda, whom we heard lots about until We The People started to learn the truth. So, where's Al Qaeda now? Did they just vanish into thin air?! If you're having trouble understanding, go back to the top, and re-read all the way to the bottom. Rinse & Repeat - three times.
fear-porn war propaganda…DISGUSTING!!!
Obama didn't listen to the CIA thats how.Â
I am really eager to watch this episode. I trust FRONTLINE with quality, un-biased and factual journalism.Â
