  1. I never understood the voice assistant thing, I goofed off with Siri when it came out, but after that the novelty wore off on me. Then Alexa came out, family got one, I would toy with it lightly time to time, but at the same time I still don’t see a point. A web app on my phone can do the same thing, and I think talking takes too long? Something about speaking to a computer when realistically it is about a button press away ehhh.

My pocket based data collector is enough spyware for me, that’s for sure.

  2. Most of these products share common denominators: network-based (without any real purpose), cheaply made but sold on ridiculously high price, wasting your privacy or assets (or both) for a vendors advance and finally – they all are marketed on hype, transient market fashion, mostly targeting unexperianced teenagers or young adults who want to feel cool solely by having these items only.

  3. This guy bad experience telling people about it Who care if some is happy with it and never had any problem with some items why not I see people not lucky enough like others started criticize Even you best internet connection speed good hight tech other cheap price internet speed connection the do not see any problem ring camera or like firestick TV some time opposite of others The some Google and Amazon people in US you go for it or you cheap noting in life must understand two type of people who love tech and some who does wanna noting this AI this 21 century everybody have too take it I don't care what people say must understand this day technology play huge lifestyle you can't change mind telling you keep for self good bye

  4. I agree with all of this list and fortunately have none of these in my home.
Also, of these 5 items, 3 have a definite limited life-span, beyound their natural obsolescence. Since they are cloud-based devices, one day, support for all of them will be dropped, leaving you with a completely useless device. Not to mention the need to pay some regular subsctiption fee for using.

  5. FireTV Stick: I actually never had any issues with ours and it was handy as you could sideload APK's on to it. The planned obsolescence eventually caught up with it though and it died, probably as you say when doing an update. I thought about getting another but the page after page of eBay listings for just the remote and the fact that I could get a Roku for quite a bit less out paid to that.

Amazon Alexa: I think you miss an important point with these: they are great O.A.P. aids. My grandmother can control the lights and heater, talk to people and get messages all without having to get up & use the Zimmer frame. And if Amazon wants to listen to her talking to her sister or the dog then I really don't think she'll mind too much.

  6. Razer cortex is just terrible. You should instead run the CTT optimizing tools, which works way better. Razer is that company who is trying to ride the popular train and get in on everything. Not saying cuz I hate Razer. I use their Huntsman elite keyboard and viper ultimate. My experience with Logitech gaming peripherals isn't great either. Their products are good but warranty process just sucks. Not going back till they fix that and stop using cheap switches on their top of the line e-sports range mouse

  7. 4.8 of those we do not use as for .2 VOC is accidentally or unknowingly used thanks for letting us know about the fire stick rubbish, that was one we did consider using

  8. I gotta say about "gaming mice" it really depends on what you're talking about. Because I switched to an "MMO mouse" over 4 years ago and have never once looked back. The added functionality of having programmable keys on your mouse thumb is a game changing capability even for just productivity. For overpriced, bloated, non-feature adding stuff, I agree, but for something which actually adds truly useful functionality, I'm all for it. The LED's are a nice bonus, but non-essential. As long as I have a 12 key mouse with open-source options for Linux (which I do with Corsair/CKB-Next) I'll be using this product for the long forseeable future.

  9. Interesting take on the firestick, mine is one of the best cheap purchases I made, I have an old TV without any streaming services, I had to connect everything with HDMI, now it works like a charm with the firestick. But I do see where you are coming from if you want to hack it to not show any amazon stuff

  10. Razer is absolutely dreadful, that is your problem!!! their parts are super cheaply made!!! I have used corsair for years and they are built like tanks in comparison!!

  11. Magicarpusedfly has already warned me about Gaming chairs and he even recommended a specific office chair that he uses and man do I love the office chair

  12. i totally agree with the "gaming" junk a proper office chair is often cheaper and more comfy same with keyboards and mice and worst is the headsets jesus crist the audio sucks and the "Mic" jeez is it even legal to call that a mic…? Google assistant i semi agree with if you use it responsible i mostly got it to get the automations running and then have it muted

  13. there are some "gaming" products I will say I do prefer, the razer Tartarus 2 being one of them as I can no longer get a merc keyboard after the last of mine died (more like killed by a mate who decided to feed it a glass of coke, keep quiet about it and then suddenly remember when we returned 4hrs later). Being able to use it at an angle to without having to bend my wrist is a lot more comfortable, though still no Ideazon/SteelSeries Merc stealth, where light up keys were actually of use for gaming in the dark as opposed to rainbow lightshow garbage (red for relaxing, blue for keeping awake).

The gaming mice with the 12 side buttons I do like for MMO's and while I have a Corsair Scimitar Pro right now, I only got that as it was on offer, my main mouse before that was the dirt cheap Redragon Perdition which was and still is a great mouse (once you break in the scroll wheel which seemed to snag all the time for the first couple of weeks).

Finally the Corsair lapboard and K63 wireless combo for sofa gaming, nice and comfortable and stable, with the keyboard going nice with my Tartarus 2 when at the desk (though I wish it had the red light option)

  14. To be honest, the only reason I have a gaming chair is because of all the ones I tested in the shop, it was the most comfortable. I usually just buy office chairs with adjustable lumbar support and adjustable arms but this corsair one is nice and comfortable and around the same price as the closest comfortable office chair, though the arms are a bit to low for my liking.

  15. Beats … xD just with the name, all is describe …. POPULARITY AND TREND, NOTHING ELSE
(I agree! I did never recommended thoses when i was working at a tech store xD
because pretty much every other headphone in the store where better than theses.

  16. A "gaming chair" …. its is better than what i had befor lol so it depend i guess !
I cant sit anywhere else since i bought mine ! And i dont regret it
it is confo, i dont have back pain anymore (Oh … its just for the look of course! 🙂 )
and i can even sleep on it (i dont sleep easy out of my bed)

(but you talk about Razor -_- not sure thats the best exemple! Theyre not the best gaming product compagny (at all in my opinion)
…hust like beats… they have hot selling product cause WE ("Gamer") are talking about them following others, that talk about it…
(popular Tendency- i lost my word)
Razor is the only thing you see in the gaming section, that tell a lot(like beats))

  17. I only have bought Logitech G102 and the software it's fine, no bloatware like Razer. But unless you need the best input possible, most expensive gaming mouse kinda not worth it, especially if you only play game with no precise input required. Also some company just slap Gaming on the product and raise the price which is really annoying.

  18. So it might actually be the product, but it could be you, since there are a lot more people who don’t have the issues you’re having. I found the 4K stick works better and doesn’t buffer when I have it hard wired to the Ethernet. There are plenty of people on YT to help you solve those issues that come up to help you speed up and declutter the cache and software working in the background. I know I felt that way at times, but once you updated your software it corrected those annoyances. But in your case you might try the Cube, that’s one item I didn’t see or hear that you’ve purchased. They’re like a Roku, but make sure you get user help off of those who actually know what they’re doing with tech they’ve purchased. I’m not a sucker for the other items on your list. On and update all your software on the stick regularly, because they are improving it all the time.

  19. I would say anything IOT (internet of things), is something you should do your best to avoid. Your toaster doesn’t need internet connection nor needs to always be listening.

  20. Ring is absolute crap. If you want an intercom/doorbell type device, go with Hikvision. No delays, no monthly charges for storing images/video. Far better.

  21. No issues with Ring for more than 2 years…. weird. I wonder if you have a lot of RF interference. My complaint is all the superfluous post to neighborhood regard lost pets…

  22. I do not have the Ring doorbell. Don't see the point. I have three dogs. They work just fine.
I have two Firesticks. They work just fine for me, but I usually only access Prime, Netflix & Youtube.. For other shit, I have a satellite TV system.Ho hum.
I'm using a set of Bluetooth headphones that only cost me 18€ – Just fine
    Gaming? Don't , just don't.
    Razor? Razor who??
    Alexa? Why? Just why?

Ah. My Firesticks are Alexa capable! If you press the button. Bwahahahahah !

  23. You are so right about the Fire Stick. I have pretty much given up on streaming devices (Apple TV, Roku and Fire). There is always some issue or glitch to deal with especially if you want to use DLNA. I am using second generation iCore PCs to stream everything. I find it looks just as good and I have more control over it . Even integrated graphics works fine for streaming.

  24. If someone broke into my house with a gun I'd fist fight them if they tried to take my Razer Tartarus! The rest of their stuff is meh but this thing is the best gaming purchase I ever made for my PC! The trick to get rid of the lag from the software is to go to Windows Settings, Apps & Features, find Razer Synapse in the list, click on it and then click Modify, Then remove everything except Synapse and Macros. All the Chroma crap is useless anyway.

  25. I only have a Google Home. I'm glad I don't have any of the other things listed. I can confirm Google Spies. I was talking to a family member about how it's hard to sleep on some occasional nights, nothing unusual, but the following day, I got a Google Opinion Awards survey asking about whether I have trouble sleeping. I said no because that rarely happens if at all, but I can confirm how disturbing a lack of privacy is. Google, if you see this, I'm not ashamed to report this incident here.

  26. Honestly as much as tech channels love to mock gaming chairs, for me the ones I find are the best chair I can afford, I'm not spending 1200$ on an office chair

  27. I bought the Razor Turret keyboard/mouse like 3 years ago for around $150. That thing is trash. Barely holds a connection, the keyboard letters are way to faint to read, and any $15 generic bluetooth keyboard works way better.
