It’s a misdemeanor there’s no teeth in this law. It’s a waste of time they’re just gonna override it. They’re not gonna care because it’s a misdemeanor and even if you prosecute a big deal it’s a misdemeanor. Do you wanna put some teeth in the Law overturn qualified immunity?

In Germany we have a "Vermummungverbot" (ban on facial coverage) for any public open air events, duing driving and in schools. In gernal ist is not wellcomed to cover your face and people rarely do it. I have never seen lawenforcement do it (appart from protective gear) either. Anyone should be able to identify you in public places.
If they’re to be treated as the police why can we see an officers face and name tag but not these men? Is it to protect them from being identified for possible crimes they commit.
These are good news but remember when Gavin Newsom proposed these the dog shooter and they are eating the dogs both said ICE will not acknowledge these laws.
The reason the ICE agents wear masks is for two pathetic reasons: 1. They want to conceal their identity (because they know what they are doing is wrong). 2. They want people to think they are being kidnapped which may cause them to run or fight back so the ICE agents can charge them with resisting arrest.

Even if it only applies to state officials it will make the ICE agents stand out.
