4. You made a commitment to fix this vehicle, I am right in believing that this is the vehicle that was being rebuilt for the family who's wife/mother was suffering from cancer? Why would you not make sure that the ignition did not function? They are suffering and scrambling just to survive. A failed ignition could really set them back after tough truck drivers and more time and expense in the shop. I know you tried to help them out, but you recognized that they had a problem with the ignition switch, why wouldn't you fix that???

9. Funny enough the y split for the coolant lines was the first thing too go on myoms van got lucky it didnt warp the heads. Then the notorious ticky tick started then replaced the warn out cam and all the roller rockers on the front half of the engine. Ran good for a while than one day when she got home it was ticky ticking again and this time its the back half of the engine. We also had too replace the oil cooler as well cause the engine valley was right full of oil dont know how the van didnt blow up cause their was atleast half quart of oil in the valley. Van does still run good at 220k though just got to bash some knuckles on the firewall too replace a possible cam and all the roller rockers.

11. You got to put a straight edge on head and block when you disassemble failed engine… always wondered how much warping happens on an overheated engine.

15. Those 3.6L Pentastars are utter junk….So glad I walked away from Stilantis, Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep in 2015.

This is why Ray has so many people following his channel , truly a great man with high moral's and sincerely cares for others. 17. @6:13 you pointed right at those vacuum hoses that go to the brake booster that seem to have some cuts in them. You might want to fix those or you'll probably be seeing this one come back.

18. Ray, many of those Chrysler ignition switches were subject to a recall for the exact issues you displayed. I would check and see if that van was included and/or repairs performed. The dealers replaced the switch and key(s) for free. Worth a check!! I had the key shut off at 70 mph in a van just like that. I was lucky and responded by turning the key on and nothing missed a beat(for some reason)!

24. @ rainman ray repair I say thank you for the info you provide thru your videos because I'm able to help customers who come in to our store (a large auto parts store) 1 customer is interested in the upgrade for the oil cooler on the pentastar engine has 2 vehicles with that engine

26. such a great job returning the van to new or near new condition. hope that it did not cost too much to
    get it all fixed. that one cheep piece of plastic ,to “save a penny “ with the car Co. destroys engines!
    the manufacturer should have taken responsibility for that motor going south! (nothing personal with
    you being in FL ) thank you for caring about your customers.

28. No doubt that some great people helped a very worthy family. Unfortunately, the car was probably not worthy of the help. Despite all the improvements made to the engine, I can’t place any faith in modern Chryslers. I think the van will continue to give it’s owners more and more problems after it goes back into service and this is absolutely no poor reflections of these mechanics; it just has to do what a modern poorly engineered and poorly constructed Chrysler product does best … which is break.

29. If you want to give the family a good van that will last with minimal problems you should junk the stellantis product and give them a Honda, Toyota or mazda. Just saying that no matter what parts you put on that van, it's still junk. 😢😊

37. Has it been less than two years since Ray was a nameless working man at the dealership with a GoPro? His old coworoers used to post stuff here making fun of him for thinking he could open his own shop. I did something similar around the same time, different industry, same situation, same jokesters.
