  2. I love Pop OS, mainly for the extra 10 to 15 FPS gain when gaming… but the networking files and folders seem problematic… i can't see the, "Local Network Share" tab when i go to folder properties when trying to share a folder… after finding a solution to all of that, i could share a folder, but couldn't see it on the network, so i gave up… if you could provide a solution to networking in Pop OS, that would be superb… 😉 Unless im the only one with this problem… tried 20.04 and 21.04 versions btw..

  3. As many have said, not a full install of Pop OS, just some of the desktop features added to Gnome Desktop. I kept getting an update notification but kept getting an error until I turn off the repository to System76.
Next when you reboot and get ready to sign in, if you select the little gear at the bottom of the login screen you can select which desktop you want to use. so you can switch back and forth. After installing it break the launch bar when switching back to Gnome. To fix it you need to reinstall gnome-shell-extension-cosmic-dock and gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock

  4. The answer is simple DO NOT UPGRADE. POP is nicely customisable piece of junk. It is non transferable, and completely unsupported. If does the job on network drivers, but completely fails on graphics, sound and bluetooth…I am devastated by the number of failures with this system…it was good only after upgrade from ubuntu, when all ubuntu drivers were at work. Later after each update it went only worse.

  5. I think it is quite irresponsible to claim that by performing these actions it is the same as a clean install (you didn't say those words but you did say that by doing it this way you don't need to do a clean install), this is not a real "upgrade" it is potentially breaking the system, you didn't do it on your daily driver but on a virtual machine, I doubt you would recommend anyone to do this on their daily driver. It's nice experimentation but the way this was described and presented is not something I am okay with.
