47. The documentary is very much in line with the mainstream narrative, which isn't completely wrong, but very one-sided. The experts cited here aren't exactly beacons of neutrality. Unlike the election results would have you believe, very few Germans want to return to any form of Nazism, however the AfD is the only relevant right-wing party in Germany at the moment, hoovering up the protest votes against an out-of-control left-wing government. The AfD has members who should never be given political power, so it would be wise for the established parties to take AfD voters' concerns more seriously.

48. Once again, thank you PBS. If I had seen his answer in the interview earlier, my opposition to him would be stronger even though I partly agree with the content.
    I don't think just saying "Alles für Deutschland" should result in a jail sentence. But I do think anyone who takes this completely serious shouldn't be allowed to run for public office. And to answer a question like "why did you rob the bank?" with "you are completely correct, Germany's bank robbery laws are way to strict" shows pure disrespect, not only for the journalist making the interview, but also for the rule of law and democracy as a whole.
