Dear Chris, I don't see the step where I bring my Windows backup folders into Linux Mint.

And all are made 4 years ago 😀
Hey Chris, Thanks a lot for your serious work and explanations. Just one question – When copying large files in Linux, we do not see any task progress at all. Not before the task has completed and that might take a long time. Why is that so ? Can there be made some kind of visualization on the screen to go along with the task progress ? I have seen some suggestions done by terminal commands but it sure would be nice to have that on the desktop screen as a standard thing.
what about dual booting
It would be cool if you did this with Pop OS.
I have a question: how do I remove windows 10 from Linux mint ??
If I have an intel integrated gpu & a dedicated gpu (nvidia), do I have to manually install the dedicated gpu drivers? Also, how would I install vulkan on it for games that need it (e.g. dota 2).
Oh wow, thanks for the video! I've used Linux in the past (Ubuntu) but that's many years ago now. I've recently started to pick up more of an interest for Linux again, and I've been looking for a distro to install on my PC. Linux Mint is the one that caught my interest, however I always though it looked super ugly in the online reviews/screenshots I've seen, so that kinda made me hold back on it. I had no idea it was this easy to customize and make look good. Thank you!
Awesome presentation, makes the move to Linux so much easier. ðŸ‘
error code 0xc00000e what is this error after installing linux mint xfce
I try to use Connect to.. to mount a windows share onto my mint. I have tried this for 2 days now and it will simply not allow me to do that. The mint has been installed as you have done in this video, and i have also added samba. On my windows PC i have also made sure all samba components are installed. Can ping both computers from one another, can also access shared folder on mint from windows, but cannot access shared folder on windows from linux (which is what i really need to have working).
all i get are the specified location is not mounted errors. Please make a video tutorial how to do this in 2022, i assume mint has changed a lot since this tutorial so we need a updated video
I am a new linux user and this helps a lot. Thank you for your time!
good day sir just want to ask what to ask what to do…?? " every time i start usb installer (Linux Mint Cinnamon I get OUT OF RAGE" thanks
Linux mint is an excellent OS, super easy for people coming from Windows platform . Loved it thanks for the video
Hey Chris. Thanks for the video. I've got a high-end Lenovo workstation with a 4K monitor. The resolution is stuck at 4K and the icons and the texts are so tiny I can't even see them. I have installed NVidia driver, but I think the problem is that I have UFEI secure boot enabled. I'm not sure if disabling it is a good idea. I can't get past this point and I'm disappointed. Do you know a fix for this or can you point me in the right direction as to how to fix it? Cheers
9:44 bruh windows has exactly the same just by pressing win + tab
Being new to Linux,i this and other videos that you have posted very helpful… Thank You
Hi chris, when I moved from windows to linux mint today, upon moving my TB Drive became read-only, from what I've gathered my entire /-partition has been mounted read-only. This usually tends to happen when the system recognises errors on the partition and remounts it to a read-only partition to further prevent 'damage'. I did try: umount /media/cov/'TB Drive' then: sudo fsck /dev/sdb2 but it didn't seem to fix anything when I remounted and tried to interact with the files on that drive. Any help on what to do going forward or is there anything I am missing? Thanks in advance <3
very nice!!!!
Do you recommend installing kde-full? Since KDE is my favorite desktop environment and Mint is my favorite distro, I have to make it happen!
