  1. That's so funny, guy calls me to pick up some scrap. I go there and there is a complete shop vac by his garbage. I ask about it he says he burned it up doing a sheet rock project. I ask if I can have it. Oh yes he says. I come home and blow out the pre and main filter with air, blow the motor out just because. It works perfect and looks like new 🙂

  2. I have a similar shop vac which uses a foam mesh filter around the black part inside the cylinder filter. I think someone added that filter since it would have been open at bottom. Enjoy your videos.

  3. You ever play that game Torment? There's a character, NPC, Monte, the floating skull…. “I make it look easy don't I?” Kind of the sense of humor from that. I guess it's regional? Got a PO, I'll send you a copy. Prolly get it on amazon for $5 bucks. “Hey boss, look at the gams on this one…”, says Monte of a passing, skinny, female zombie.

“This is basally what I do all day, wander around the garage….”; don't forget the trip to the diner. Pretty funny. You'll do a lot less wandering if you can get more stuff off the floor. I bet the recent clean helped too. Then you don't have remember as much stuff. My brain is very independent….

    Rated.

    Be real, be sober.

  4. Because for some reason I can't pass up a cheap shopvac I have like five… one though is actually an ORIGINAL Shop Vac brand vacuum from the 50's it's built into a metal 5 gallon bucket from the factory. Anyway that base plate was missing on one I got and I just cut an aluminum plate the size of the filter and did the same thing you did with the buffing wheel. Two bucks for a shop vac is hard to pass up… especially for me!

  5. Great repurpose and fix . . . . glad you are doing a daily show now (lol), j/k the more the videos, the merrier . . .  have a great one, Rog

  6. That wont cause you problems now lol, solid :-))

The biggest killer of vaccume cleaners is lack of maintainance, i find filters blocked, hoses blocked with paper so the suction drops, and pure muck plastered on the insides.

Even cleaners need a clean lol 🙂

  7. WOW,you are very handy, most people would just throw the vacuum away.speaking about vacuums I wished you lived near me,because I have a vacuum that turns on,but it only sucks up things (barely) through the attached hose

  8. when using that type of shop vac inside the house , especially with those old style filters you want to install a twin layer filter baggy secured with a few elastic bands, then it wont pass the fine dust straight through into the room, 10 dual layer bags cost peanuts, great for cleaning out the log burner, fire places etc.

  9. That looks like my shop vac and mine has a foam filter that goes on first then a paper filter with a plastic ring to hold the paper filter on.I get the filters at Home depot. What you did should work fine tho.
