Asbestos in the brake pads?
I have a one I need some one fix
No matter what.. This CT 70 is always a good series to watch.. Even 3 years later. ðŸ‘
Just found your channel and it's great. The CT70 is bringing back some memories. Thanks!
Pretty clever trick using a propane torch to accelerate the drying time of the wet paintðŸ‘
Have you ever tried scrunched up kitchen foil and water on chrome to clean it?.. It works; dunno if it's better or worse than the finest wire wool.
I keep thinking I should mention Quick-Glo to you, but that the particular video is a bit old for it.
Still… You Really should use some Quick-Glo. It is Amazing on old rusty chrome!
Not that you ever run into old rusty chrome…
Where can I get those bars that come down in front of the engine from my clone bike.
Jay Leno said if you connect a drill to the speedo wire you can roll back the miles The bike might look like shit but it'll have 10 miles on it lol
Tin foil cleans up chrome good too
I know you will never read this but I can always hope.A little denatured alcohol will make the grips slide on and off without any damage. When the alcohol evaporates the grips stick to the handle bars . Don't use soapy water because if the bars get wet while you are out riding the grips will slide off. Ooops.
Had one of these when I was 14 yrs old loved riding it
You have to stop apologizing, there's an old saying" those that can do and those can't teach" but bring that to today, those they can't watch those that can. Most of us couldn't open a jar of pickles, without an instruction book, so you have to teach those that can't by doing and if you make a mistake so what? Those that watch couldn't make a mistake because what you do is so far above their heads. I'm 70 years old and use to do what you do with '50s and '60s cars.
Since Euro-Americans invented everything, it doesn't matter what other countries call cotter pins because they are cotter pins here.
Mustie love it , had one as a kid 14/15 am 63 now , mine was gold lol
I want that bike ! Lol
Joe…. Naval veteran
17:50 The first time that happened to me because of salt in winter, man, we were up in arms agains the dealer. That was not suppost to happen, brakes seizing up, man, that is dangerous. We still had to get used to Japanese bikes and we thought they were junk. Now we've gotten all used to them and even think they are great, well, at least better then anything else on the road today. = )
Lever is upside down. That tab is for a clutch switch.
Which MAPP gas torch do you use…I'm in the market for one…a reliable one…
I know where there s a 70 is stiting I sold it to my boss. Never been ran I rebuild the the bike..I haf issues setting the timing .all new .
The Florida pool pump motor repair guy approved ! that was good info
Kinda like those tires. Like the price too! What are they?
Mustie: this is either going to be highly intelligent or terribly stupid.
Me: now who says it can't be both?
Love your video an learned alot. I'm starting to restore my Dads 1970 ct70 an would like to know were you got your parts replacement parts. Thanks.
My neighbor has a pristine ct70c with a clutch wrapped in plastic. l didnt even know they came with one. He wants crazy $$$$ tho'. A literal lm not selling it price. lt looks new. He also has a 60-70's Indian 70cc dirt bike new wrapped in plastic.
Liking what I see really well.
I love those bikes looks anyway I wish I could drive it on streets or turn into electric motorcycle
Axelrod pull loops
Hey Mustie have you ever used a molasses and water mix to remove rust? Works real good if you have a drum and submerge for a while, have to leave for a couple of days and just wash off . Only draw back you spit these things out fast and may not want to wait
"I hate when my pipe goes mushy". Was that a double entendre?! Rebuilt a ct 70 KO a couple years back and it had the exact same bent frame issues. I don't think that those rear shock mounts were ever made to haul someone my size around but with some upgraded shocks, it's been doing fine. Took me back watching this video. Thanks!
turn the levers over. the holes go down.
Wow, cleaning those wheels and fenders really made a difference in the looks. Thanks
Is the larger rear wheel the original, should they have the same size wheels front and back?
Split pin in n/e england
You must really love this bike with all those new parts to make her run like newish!
The next time you fit tyres to rims, use a soapy water mix on the outer rim area where the tyre seals on the rim, it allows the tyre to slip easier on the rim
The cover that goes over the wheels that stops mud from splashing all over the place, here in Australia those covers are called Mud guards, you call them Fenders, yes we have differant names for car parts, America – Hood, Australia – Bonnet, America – Trunk, Australia – Boot lid,
The big pin on the cranks of push bikes is called a codder pins, that pin that you pulled out on the front wheel of the Honda 70, that pin that is called a split pin, the reason is obvious.
3:14 the right tool for the right job
Well, welll, good , interesting stuff/ job, but….I used to work in a tire garage, you should lubricate tires, both size, before put them on rim, then add 4-5 lbs air, the tire will "centralize", set better, and will balance better, you put them on dry?? Why?? Just saying ;o))
Love it when you let wild justice out to play. Tire smoke will follow.
We call the pins on the bicycle nuts because we don't even have cotter pins on bicycles or in less my bikes are sus or y'all are tripping and are suspects from the area 51 raid
After all that work, you better be taking that to Laconia!!!
Why don't you ever prime anything?
I also changed up to a heal toe shifter was nice too.
I had one that i found next to a dumpster that was missing the motor. I took it home about a month later i was at the dump i found an old three wheeler trashed with a 110 motor with the hi/lo range gear box on it with the pull starter. I put that motor in the trail 70 frame and that was a hell of a bike a lot of fun to ride it would go 45 mph in hi range and climb like a goat in low range i called it Danger. it was much better bike with that 110 high/lo range setup.you should give it a go!! it's a tight fit but it fits in and you have to leave the little skid plate off. the front fender just clears the head. makes a great go anywhere micro bike.
Don't really matter if those retainers are called split pins or cotter pins, just as long as you use them and then move foreward.
when you fast forward with sound, makes me think of Benny Hill
