It’s another cold day on the farm. I check on the Dexter cattle, pigs, and chickens to see how they are faring in the cold weather, and have some fun with them too! The Dexter heifers need their water thawed and I use a stock tank heater, which we monitor throughout the day. I sharpen the chainsaw chain, and Hilarie and I cut, split and stack a load of firewood, using our wood splitter. Life on a farm in winter can be challenging, but we get our work done and the animals are doing just fine in the cold.
