I knew Cleetus would put the Big Block BMW through its paces… but I definitely didn’t expect it to let go. All part of the learning process!

  1. The oil pressure safety not turning on is ultimately my fault, it is designed to lower the rev limiter as the pressure decreases after a 2 second delay when the condition is met. With drifting the oil pressure will never following engine speed true 1:1 as the engine speed changes drastically in a short period of time. This is why I had a 2 second delay instead of no delay on the cut.

The oil pressure did fall under the allowed amount but always caught up just before the delay. Moving forward I’ll shorten the window along with a larger drysump tank and or more suction stages on the oil pump to help oil return to the tank faster on extended drift laps.

  2. I bet it probably has aluminum rods in that motor, aluminum rods in a big block v8 screaming high rpms isn't going to last to long for a motor that's designed to be rebuilt constantly after so many passes

  3. Dude… Cleetus driving that thing was insane. Production quality of your episode was insane. Have never watched your videos before, but definitely going to check them out going forward. Awesome stuff man!

  4. Make it better. Watching that is cool. Sorry about the money you lost can see the disappointment all over your face in the video.
It will come back a beast Steve Morris don't play around you give him a problem he will fix it

  5. What’s the Point Of Even Having A Motor Like that in A Drift Car? You can do the exact same with motors Half the Price! Not Even Half! & will perform Reliable Religiously! Just waste of Money Big Time!

  6. I would never let him drive my car he just flogs the crap out of everything its ok to drive it hard but he has no respect for anyone's machine.
