In episode 7 of windows games on Linux, I am going over Fallout 4. This works decently out of the box using proton, but with some glitches and audio issues. This guide shows you how to clear all that up.

Install xact via Winetricks

Install faudio
https://github.com/Kron4ek/FAudio-Builds/releases/download/19.01/faudio-19.01.tar.xz
-Extract dlls to steamapps/common/Fallout 4/prefix/drive_c/windows/system32/
-Change Audio Libraries – Override xaudio2_7 and set to native
