On our small farm, we have a diverse collection of antique Farmall tractors, originally made by the International Harvester company. We use these tractors every day, and love repairing, restoring, and working with them. In this video, I give you a tour of our Farmall tractor collection and show the tractors in use, including a Cub, Super A, Super C, H, MD, 504, 656, F-20 and McCormick Deering 10-20. I also explain some of the features that make each tractor unique, and give some tips for buying a tractor for your small farm.

Being an ex-farmer and elderly Boomer, my favorite aspects of Just a Few Acres Farm are the tractors and the fieldwork. I grew up with letter series, using a Farmall H, an A, and an M on our very small farm–a place my Dad bought in order to retire there. It's a long story, but we no longer have the farm. I ended up pursuing a profession and living in rural Connecticut. I don't have much land and my shop is about the size of yours. I tinker around with a couple of old hit and miss engines. Although my mechanical skills are middling at best, you've inspired me, and I'm thinking of looking for an F-12 or an F-14 to restore. Thanks Pete, you've done a great deal to help me deal with my looming mortality!~~Jeff in CT
I was 12 yrs old and cultivated with a f14 , 2 row hand lift ,while dad did 4 rows with an H, that F14 had an overdrive so 6 gears forward.
Just acquired my father in laws old Farmall H… Look forward to getting it running to use around the property. Ever use a wood chipper on the back of one of these? We have a lot of trees and trails to maintain and do our own firewood….
I miss seeing him use that farmall super c with the front box on it
I grew up on an F30 and a B. Oh well. Long ago and far away.

I love looking back at watching old just a few acres videos the f-20 might be one of my favorite tractors ever to me it looks like a train and a letter series(I’m aware it did come before the letter series) had a baby

Hello Mr Pete,
I just come across this video, ive just picked up a farmall regular and f20 to add to the iH collection here.
Thanks for all the videos you provide. Quality viewing 👌
Your saving money..
You should do a series on how to restore tractors. I'm considering a future project of restoring a ford 600
Thanks Pete!
Pete, do you still have that Cub I sold you, or did you decide to move it along? I'd understand if you parted with it. Your call, as owner, of course. ~Jeremy
When are you gonna restore the cub
My grandpa used a Farmall. A red Model H, I think.
Day 1 of asking Pete to fix the cub

Hi I know you might not want to but have you ever thought about a Q/A column you are so good at it and it seems than us old guys are gone it will such a waste of knowledge, I know there are those that will comment on how their way is the better way or the wright way like the one about Teflon tape I worked building hydraulic components I'm with you as long as you wrap behind the first or second thread you will never have trouble, Like dad said, jus getter done. Dennis. Burson CA p.s. love my super C.
Really enjoy your videos. How come I see very little on old Case tractors?
You got a nice collection of old iron and its nice to see them being used. I loke my old iron too ,ive got a 1940 ford 9n, 58 massy ferguson 65(gas) and a 69 case 580ck backhoe and they all are being used on my upnorth property making trails, dragging tree up for fire wood or for my saw mill.
I farm with older equipment. My newest tractor is a John Deere 4020 diesel. It's my go to tractor. I plant and pick corn with it, mow and bale about 4000 bales of hay with it. My dad had two cylinders when I was a kid so I use those a lot too. I also have a couple of Olivers, a Super 77 diesel for running my pto generator and moving wagons. I'll grind feed with it from time to time as well. Plus I have a 1937 Oliver Hart Parr row crop 70 that I saved from the scrappers but I don't have that one running yet. My oldest working tractor is a B John Deere like my dad had a long time ago. It runs my PTO elevator and a buzz saw. All my tractors are in their work clothes but of all of them I'd really like to fully restore my dad's John Deere 70 diesel back to new condition.
