Hi Guys, any of you want to follow along on the auction of the alfa romeo the link is here. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/195...
You’re so lucky you didn’t
get burned by the fluid. My uncle got 2nd degree burns all over his face once from radiator fluid.
40.33, fusebox markings from L to R: Accessories, Engine systems, Various systems, ?, Abb ? left, Abb ? right, Anabb left, Anabb ? right.
Regarding the lights, why are the amber directional lights lit whenever the lights are on? Is that another US oddity regarding light colours?
The idle does sound like it's had performance cams fitted, if so it may well need to idle around 1000RPM
I was screaming NO when you played with that radiator bolt.
omg is that a god damned carburettor-converted 2L blacktopped twinspark engine?!
Edit: no it isnt, but i always thought that the 1.3L engine had silver top
Jez was not expecting that to happen to you, Linda nearly dropped ny phone in shock
Dang. Two f***s in one video (one when he set the cam down, one when he ran off for the catch container)!
Seriously though, glad you're okay after that. 😬😬😬
Anyone else yelling "Don't bother with the soldering iron, JUST USE THE TORCH!!!"
I don't know exactly how to put it but it has that smooth sound. It sounds expensive.
How about that tie rod end ?
I wonder if seller was surprised by sold price $21,750 just now………..great car.
I was screaming at the screen DONT DO IT.. THAT IS A BAD IDEA.
Glad you are ok.. keep going friend we love you.
I hope you noticed it was spraying fuel from the bottom side of the carb everytime you worked the throttle.
Having driven and worked on one of these guilias, can confirm they are death traps.
You may be the only guy on Youtube who would have left that coolant blowout footage in the video. I thought that stuff only happened to me. Thanks for showing how things really go.
gotta watch them Ital girls
The car is now up for sale on Bring A Trailer. Current bid is $1958 (12:50 pm on 6/22)
what a cool car.
The symbol on the lower right knob makes me wonder if that was either the original choke or it could be a manual throttle lock – cruise control before cruise control
Funniest thing ever mate. Just about choked on my honey glazed peanut. We were all saying, Mustie Nooo!
Then blewie blurto…! A real pisser.

утечка когда газуешь!
Really nice old car. Glad you’re OK.
OMG that was the most awesome thing I've seen on your channel. And I've seen all of them. 😃😃😃
A buddy of mine owned a few Alfa's, which means it was in the shop all the time.
Wow, that looked nasty being hosed down with hot coolant. I'm glad you got away OK.
That Alfa has quite a few similar lines with the old Volvo Amazon, the fenders and the doorhandle's in particular. Brings back memories from when I took my drivers license here in Sweden…
Mine had the three shoe front brakes. However it was a 63 though.
Hey there Darren from another Daren. When you were almost done adjusting the carb. And your were reving the engine by hand up front there was Fuel dripping a lot a everytime you reved it. Just wanted to point that out brother. Im glad you did not get hurt. Be safe out there
For a radiator leak that small in an old cars radiator core or petcock we used to use a can of of stop leak or a can of black pepper in the 1950's. It plugs small leaks as it circulates thru the system and will usually hold until you put coolant in the radiator and then it will leak again. It kept my old 50's Studebaker and Chevy's on the road.
Just an old guy
Alfas' are cool.
Like that funnel.👍
Karmann is a German car builder, Ghia is an Italian design house…
I learned some new words today, from the Mustie show!
Snap-Off 😂😂😂
Now you can’t blame the anti-freeze poisoning on the mrs. 😮😮🤣🤣🤣
If I remember right they used to race them on road courses and second and third were the main gears used for the road courses so If you are in third gear and you whond down the rpms to a certain RPM in third gear it would pop out of third so you could grab second gear to keep your speed and time up to help you get a better time on your lap it might be designed for that car to do as such. The other side of the coin is that the sinkernizer is not working to good for third gear and may need some attention to fix it just some food for though and from what I have seen when it is racing on a road course Ty for letting me suggest some things to you Matt AKA DDP be safe out there My friend and brother yuuuuup ps hope you are ok after the car tried to hurt you yuuuuuuuup
I hope you are ok and you did not get burned please share with us are you ok that was a lot of pressure hope you are going to be ok Matt AKA DDP be safe out there My friend and brother ok
I'd put some fresh fuel in the tank and some octane and carburetor cleaner in the tank and let it chew on it for a little while and then go from there then maybe tweek the carburetor adjustment screws a tad bit ty for letting me share Matt AKA DDP be safe out there My friend and brother and everybody yuuuuup
I'd never seen an air hammer screwdriver. Cool!
Saw the end. Glad you're ok.
Thx for the video!
