I picked up this chrysler sno runner at a motorcycle at a swap meet over the summer in very poor condition, in part one we got the engine to run, now lets work on the rest of its issues,

We use wd40 on rc car plastics to make them more flexible, don't see why wouldn't work but maybe too old
With most small keys ill put i small relief on the leading edge to guide it into place. Nothing major just enough to get the job done
"Watch your eyes" he said while blowing out the bearings with comp. air and I actually did… 🙄😀Great project and video!
30:39 Too tight on the chain, that'll snap the ski.
28:19 the drill was still going that was hilarious
Anybody know what brand his green screwdrivers are? They have an interesting handle shape.
I've always wanted one of these. I'd love to have it at my campsite during winter, even though we are restricted as to how far out we can go during bad weather. I remember seeing a couple of these when I was younger being thrown away or given away.
28:04 🤣🤣 You have a great sense of humor sir! 37:44 Yes it does. 😆😂 Great video. Thank you Darren. PS – Cool owl. ðŸ‘
You need to replace the needle nose chines bearing to Japannies ball bearing will last longer and more power supply â¤
I want to try riding this to see how stable it is. Without the 3point stance of a snowmobile or the centrifugal forces of a motorcycle it seems like it could go over easily. Steering to keep it up like a bike seems poor since just a slight slide sideways is bound to end badly. The few clips I've seen you see people making many small steering corrections and doing very little turning which lends to maybe why they never saw much for sales.
What brand is your motorcycle lift and how much did you pay?
love the tidbits of nature thrown in, beautiful owl
Looks and sounds like trouble, I want one 😂
What if you switched the lower pully around and shifted it out slightly the angle would tension the chain
Never ceases to amaze me how you reconstruct even the most bizarre mechanical devices.
Cool owl
Where did you find the track? I need one for mine sitting in the barn.
Your getting there she's slowly coming back to life, just a bit more love..That's all. Good Job Thus far Darren. Good job.
take a whole link out and put a half link in
MUSTIE 1 is tge forst video i watched on youtube. Well that i was interested in anyway.
The "face" on the muffler looks like Mr. Bill from SNL.
PB blaster on sealed bearings😂 who needs lithium grease once again niiicevguess you did pack em with some of that bacon grease you got there. Not sure if that's thick enough but better than PB blaster. Oh please hit that bottom sprocket with the hammer to get that chain on there please do it I'd love it drum roll. An awful lot of "I don't think" coming out of your mouth too oh and you left your drill running. You're the worst mechanic I've ever seen in my entire life I'd be surprised if you had all your fingers toes and eyeballs you can't just go eave tools running like that that's crazy then you go to adjust the carburetor right when it's dying just hilarious You're just a calamity of misfortune and bad decisions hilarious bro Good video funny as hell terrible mechanic
I used to work for a guy just like you he was an engineer he knew how to do everything but he didn't know how to do anything. He could like get on his computer and do this design for a deck for a pool or something but then we'll come time to build it he didn't know how to build anything. Like you know use the tools right or just mechanically he was not proficient just like you watching you use the tools you use to do the things you do It's like what is he doing It's funny but I mean you get there I get it but I mean wow it's like he grew up your whole life without using tools. Watching you tap that snap ring on there just is painful 10 minutes that it took you to do that the wrong way of course. Oh and the chain on the wire wheel was great as well. Niiiice
I don't know how long this thing is going to last. @ ~21:30 you failed to use a pair of pliers to attempt to install that c-clip and instead send it half way across the garage resulting in a 45 minute unfruitful search for said c-clip thus having to drive to the hardware store to purchase a new one. Or is it just me that happens to?
Awesome episode as always!
Missed opportunity to call it a Sno-ped
Check out rednecks and dirty hands he built one also
Convert to a 3-wheeler.
Pull start at the end is a treat. Cheers
Beautiful owl.
The track can be 3d printed with tpu95A i have 3d printed a friction disc on my old snowblower and it work 🙂
I'm amazed that the little engine would be man enough to pull a soldier and his equipment through the snow for any distance?
I consider myself a small engine "piddler", but I have learned so much from you over the last 3 or 4 years. Great information, awesome entertainment and puns galore!
