Let’s go to the tractor show! Today I’m at the Pageant of Steam in Canandaigua, New York. We’ll look at the antique tractors on display, including ones made by International (Farmall), John Deere, Oliver, Minneapolis Moline, Rumley Oil Pull, and many others! There are also lots of big steam traction engines, steam traction engines, and stationary gas & steam engines.

I love your gentle and humorous digs at the Green Weeds. Not mean-spirited, just a small chuckle!
That two row corn picker was exactly like the one on my grandfather’s farm.
New tii0000 tractor
I'd love to drive a big old steam tractor and imagine that I was working our alfalfa farm back around the turn of the century.
I remember my Great Grandma having a kerosene ran washing machine and using it. I thought it was neat starting it for her. She also cook on a big beautiful wood stove. It was tradition to walk to their house every Saturday to butcher a big roasting chicken that shed serve with gravy on mashed potatoes and home made noodles. Also, we always had cream peas and a scratch cake with boiled frosting that always broke from the cake when you ate it.
My Great Grandfather sold his restaurant in Chicago because it got shot up in a Mob shooting and moved his family to the pacific N.W. to make Moonshine for the locals and raise chickens, rabbits along with a huge garden for their income. At 10 years old I could skin a rabbit in a matter of minutes.
Man hurts my heart you didn't look at the Deere's I guess everyone has there own taste. Another great video Pete
HI there Pete. I have driven a few old tractors in my time. The Fords on Major you mentioned looked just like tge one I use to drive when I was working on a Duck Farm which had 40,000 Pekin Cross ducks! It was old Arm-Strong steering for that Tractor…a STRONG ARM!
Pete very cool farmalls love them all my grandpaw had a farm all A as. Kid I love to ride on the draw bar and hold on to the back of the seat and ride on the farm with him gone memetarys for ever for me
I think that you have some good red tractors that could be in that show and I like the red ones two
Nice to see your Dad and kids. I think you understand about these tractor like yours. I think you could get 50 k for your rebuilding tractors. You are like a little kid on Christmas morning. I hope your son and maybe daughter check the fever. Neal Apollo Beach Florida

I love this episode not only am I an international tractor collector but I have multiple flywheel engines some throttle governed and some hit and miss
You made me watch three auctions in a row. You are so blessed to have your kids and your Dad to go with you. Having 3years to rebuilt my 1969 AMC AMX 390 I KNOW how hard it is to bring these back to where they belong. I love how you get excited about a really good resteration . I would love to see you find a old truck like that red one. You are so good at it and it's something that could be given down the line. I appreciate how much you adore what you do. I hope you get to a million veiwers to make a great income farming. You are a lucky person Pete. Neal
That was interesting. Like in Australia where I was from . There were so many different displays to. But I saw some tractor on your video we don't have in Australia. I use to use a G1000 MM. I loved it. Pulled like a train
I like several brands of tractors myself. My grandfather had blue, green and red. One day, you should say why you don't like the green ones. If you have already, I'm sure I'll get to it eventually.
Why does he dislike John Deere machinery? Did he ever discuss the topic?
Hey! PETE.Where's the Miss's and does she do all the video camera work as you mosey around.
Guess I’ll look for another John Deere channel.
Loved this video. You couldn't hide your enthusiasm, you had a huge smile the entire video. Prince Albert in a can LOL, don't remember the last time I heard that. Too funny.
Ĺllllllll.
Theres a video of a steam tractor (150 Case ) that pulls a FORTY BOTTOM PLOW & 20 + men standing on the plow..
It goes to show the Horsepower that a steam engine can produce…
I dont recall the stats , but it was staggering how much work that engine produced.
Americana at its finest
i wist you had showen the cockshutt tractor i grew up on a farm and that is what we had it was a 1949 cockshutt 30 to me it was the best tractor ever made and i drove a lot of them on different farms i worked on when i was a young man
Sad to say that we aren't using those kind of tractor. Mostly we use CARABAO here in the PHILIPPINES. Lol!
Pete, this was a great video. I loved looking at all the old tractors. You do a great job producing all the videos.
What blows my mind is every country went through the industrial Era, and thousands of inventors had there own ideas and added a twist here and there. And every product mined from the earth , every kind of crop and sawmill to earth moving machinery developed at different levels, and different times till it started to evolve to what we have now with inventors fine tunes things.
I should wait till the end to enter my comment… I used to use one of those two row pickers When I worked my brother in law's dad's farm in the 80's. one was mounted, the other was not.
I miss seeing the kids.
Is that the place where they have the jd 2 cyl club meet every other year ?
Love the old steam engines.
On the farm, I worked at I drove all green. The gasoline 1020, 720, and a diesel 2020. I enjoyed the 1959 720 the most. It sat high and had a hand clutch, plenty of power (53hp), and the tut, tut, sound it made especially under a load. Having a tricycle front end it would cut on a dime and it didn't take long to figure out where not to take it. I had the front end come off the ground a few times but only because the drawbar weight was borderline. Sometime later the owner sold it to one of his neighbors and it burned up in a hay shed that was struck by lightning. Hated to see Old John end up like that, he was truly a treasure. I've driven a few of those Red machines as well, I have no qual with those. With all farm machinery, if you take care of it, run it like you're supposed to, and lubricate it often, most of it will take care of for a long time. However, everything wears, and sometimes eventually breaks. Only nothing lasts forever.
I did not get enough of this. I guess I'll have to attend one of these some day.
Tractors are red crops are green
Thanks for the tour. I used to go to that same show every year with my dad when I was a kid. Brings back great memories
WOW this is neat, sure got some nice children , thanks
Ur. Better that farmall fanatic lol
Hahahahaha the green tractors are the good ones.
Hi Pete, just came across this video. Being a former auto tech and teacher of the same, anything mechanical interests me. Those old tractors are cool!!.
Steamers interest me because my dad was a RR guy and when he started they still had steam engines pulling the trains. Different, but the same if you know what I mean.
Flee markets are awesome but daunting. So much to see so little time to see it all…ugh!
P.S. one sausage sandwich is never enough 🤣🤣
I'ma John Deere guy but those old International Farm all's look good
Very enjoyable tour. Thank you so much !
