now that it has a good engine, lets look into the rest of the car and what has degraded while sitting 44 years in a barn.

  1. I guess I'm 2 years late on my method of getting springs on different parts and machines. I learned this years ago and maybe someone else might see the comment and will help them get s spring on in a impossible place

  2. On your mirrow spring if you wrap a wire around the part or spring you should be able to pull the spring or part through the hole with no problem.
I used this method for 30 years as a printer. There are at least 50 springs on most printing presses. If you have some strong string that will work to.

  3. Mustie, the Redline tires (47:50) that you tried on the Amante would look good on your Mopar convertible. They would "scale" well to that car. I'd stick with a radial tire no matter what.

  4. re cleaning the fuel tank, pressure washer and nuts and/or stones in side the tank, is quick and effective at cleanning the crap out, after it drys a bit slosh some diesel around to stop flash rust. or wd 40 if you like.

  5. its the dot 4 fluid that causes those bits to corrode and get stuck, if u use dot 5 silicon fluid you dont that problem even it the car sits. dot 4 likes water, and will wash away with just water. you have steel rubber and alloy, in those brake parts add water based dot 4 and get a nice chemical corrosion happning.

  6. 19:50 Ooof… I think someone put a tiger in their tank, and then forgot about it for 50 years. WTF is green liquid coming out of a gas tank for? Holy crap. At least my stomach has settled back down after the scenes where you went groping around in the graveyard that was a floorboard and a disaster at the fortune cookie factory. That was pure stomach torture… but oddly fascinating. You really got me with the " I may have a spare floorboard that will fit this."
