    That surprise with the car for your mother was something else, right in the feelings it was, I want to buy something big for my parents one day because, almost like your storie, I was always given what they could, they did not have much, and for that they deserve the world.

39. My mother died unexpectedly in March of 2024. I wish I could have done more for her over the last 16 years, it's a longer story but we've been separated by about a 15 hour drive for that long and I've never been able to afford to visit her or do anything big for her in that time. We were very close, talking by phone almost every day and I miss her. I have always worked for myself with a few "W2" jobs here and there to fill in during the years I spent as an audio engineer. I wound up working with everyone from Merle Haggard to Megadeth but at the end, after corporate acquisitions ruined the business, I didn't have anything but a lot of knowledge and experience to show for it. I wound up starting a handyman business a few years ago as I already had the skill set for it and it again is something that I learn new things doing every day… I'm like a herding dog, if you don't play frisbee with me enough I'll chew up the couch. That is to say that my mind needs challenge and my heart must be free. I can't take working for corporate entities as both the experience, my knowledge of how they operate and my memory of what they've ruined won't allow me.
    My mother and I talked about these things and she understood as she ran a small business herself, putting so much into it that she had customers who celebrated the excellence of what she provided but she didn't make much more than she needed either. I said it earlier but I do miss her so much and while I know she's alright, it is hard.
    I enjoyed this video so much and I find myself connecting vicariously through your most kind and decent act, not just getting a new car for your mother but going to such lengths to make it an amazing surprise. I enjoy all of your videos but this one is special.

45. I’ve had some tough times with my mom as well and I really enjoyed watching this. I’m 35 years old and I’m in tears. What a fabulous deserving mother you have Ryan! However you almost gave the poor woman a heart attack geez!!
