It’s my favorite day of the year: time to RELEASE THE CATTLE from their winter pasture to graze the fields! The Dexter cattle are happy to be out on green grass again. I load pigs to go to the butcher, and afterwards, I check on our shiitake mushroom logs, which have yielded their first crop of the year. Then I spend some time fixing fences, and Hilarie and I pick up a load of hay from a neighbor farmer. Spring grazing has begun!
