   By the way, I, thus author, read the Funding Proposal, and within the very first page, they have dismissed healthcare and veterans’ benefits, you know, where all the waste, fraud, and abuse take place, so those can be stripped bare, and more $$$ can go to ICE and funding the military Trump wants to direct at us.
   And, lest we forget, they (all three branches of government) are not affected by the shutdown, they continue to get their checks, and they needn’t worry about their healthcare because that’s taken care of for the rest of their lives by us, so other than remaining in office, there’s no reason for them to hurry up and fix the issues that concern every day Americans. For Republicans, especially the president, his cabinet and the lawmakers to point fingers and say that it’s the Democrats’ fault they shut down the government, look at what Americans stand to lose if that funding bill is passed. Thank God, at least some of our lawmakers, the Democrats, are looking out for our best interests. As a side note, I find it offensive and deplorable that we have a president who only wants to serve as president/dictator to his own party. The problem is that all parties, Republican, Democrat, Independent,and all others, will be negatively impacted by what this funding bill will mean if it gets past as it is. Too many Americans believe they have to choose sides and cheer for their team. This is not a sporting event we are one side or team wins, and the other loses, ironically, all fans on both side sides will lose if this is past, and that is the big lie. At the end of the day, it’s not Republicans versus Democrats, it’s Republican lawmakers and administrators versus the country. So choosing to be on the side that wants to take Healthcare away that wants to do away with benefits that we have come to rely on is like being on the side of someone who is directly opposed to you.
