The answer to this question isn’t simple, the K-Tuned Clutch Hydraulics are good parts, but the real question is, do you need them? Watch this video and I’ll give you my take, then you can decide for yourself if these parts are right for you.

I should also mention that these parts will fit on Civics, Acura TSX, and other K series powered Hondas with manual transmissions.

I hope this info saves you some time and money.

  1. I've watched your installation of this product so I'm really considering it for my 2006 element, but I've already purchased the OEM cylinders. Can I just buy the cable line?

  2. The K-Tuned Clutch Hydraulics Kit offers real-time clutch engagement, enhancing shift responsiveness, especially at high RPMs. This upgrade addresses the delayed engagement issues found in OEM systems.

  3. You're right, that vibration through the clutch pedal is because you've deleted the damper. I had the same when I deleted the damper on my 06 2.2 iCTDi Civic diesel. Deleting the damper also made the clutch action lighter.

  4. Hey man, I’m looking into getting a 1997 Honda rafaga with 62k miles on it. It’s in really good condition and seems to be well taken care of. I know you had a few Honda vigors which have the same 2.5 5 cylinder engine. Do you think you the engines are reliable? And in terms of parts and replacing them are they hard to find ? I don’t plan on modding the car just keep up with the maintenance on it.

  5. This is a common mod in the 8th gen accord with v6 6MT, you get rid of the dampener in the master cylinder, also there is a check valve in the slave cylinder you need to take out by disassembling it. Makes much easier to drive the car in a sporty way.

  6. Been contemplating doing this on my 06 Element.

Glad to hear some REAL feedback from someone who's actually installed the K-Tuned and what all it took to get it to work.

I was JUST about to drop the $$$ on some of these parts too.

Your videos "came in clutch" for me. 😎

    Thanks, E!

  7. My buddy converted his odysee to a 6 speed, he ended up using a hodge podge of factory Honda parts, off memory I believe he used a 99 civic clutch master and a Type R slave, nothing that he got from k-tuned worked for his swap.

  8. My wife and I are original owners of a 05 CRV w/ a manual with 413,000 miles. I never replaced the fluid. It may have been replaced at some time. The master and slave are OEM. The clutch was replaced at 205k and 410k. It is a shame that Honda stopped manuals after '06. Great to see you back.

  9. I have an 06 tsx and I blew one of the bolts off the delay valve, luckily in my garage. I got the EM2 cmc and it makes a little noise like plastic rubbing but it doesn’t have the delay valve. This is with it adjusted absolutely perfect.

It has less of a luxury feel and you can feel the vibration through the friction point – but I can’t be worrying about that happening. I was shocked how common it is.

Only part I had to reuse was the little bracket on the rod that attaches to the pedal, the civic one was a hair too small and the pin wouldn’t go through the hole. But the tsx one worked fine.

Doing a cmc on a tsx is my personal Vietnam… I’d rather do the starter again! I just used a Luk cmc off Amazon for $37, I still have the tsx slave and even the hard lines, might convert them to SS one of these days

  10. I did a version of this a few years ago on our Accord but it's not K-powered. Went back to stock, but yes it offered a very direct and instant engagement.

From what I remember, the recipe was a master from maybe an RSX and a modified slave with a new specialty hydro line that cost more than the master and slave combined. Something about it made it all work on the J-series cars.

Kudos to those of you who can change the master on a 2006-2007 V6 Accord (the rare sedan 6-speed.) I've never before experienced a more cramped location I could not get my hand into. Had to have the wife install it … twice: Once when we did the mod and when we went back to stock.

  11. It's overpriced when you consider the EM1 Civic clutch master does the same job for less (Hybrid-Racing has a tutorial), and you can get OE Honda quality.
Only some cars with a K series engine have a delay valve on the slave (looks like there's an extra cylinder on the slave). One from an 02-04 RSX fits and lacks the delay valve (does require bending a hardline).

  12. G'day Eric,
I love seeing your videos pop up.
I don't drive this type of car. I drive a 1963 vw beetle, but you can never have too much information about cars in your head.🤯
So thanks for sharing the knowledge, man. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
    ✌️ Peace from Melbourne Australia.

  13. I took the clutch master out of my 2013 Fit thinking to do a delay valve delete mod and there was no delay valve feature to speak of behind that triangle-ish shaped plate. I was very confused.
